The record is not one-directional and we do not present it as such. He has been early and right before — he flagged dollar-backed stablecoins as crypto's most durable trend years before that was consensus, and this window's 27 April and 1 June warnings were followed by drawdowns of 25.5% and 20.4%. But he has also wobbled publicly: on 19 February 2026, about three weeks before this chart window opens, CoinDesk reported that he had softened his downside target from $10,000 to about $28,000 after analysts called the earlier number alarmist — Quantum Economics' Mati Greenspan said the forecast was “literally nonsense.” By 2 April he was back to $10,000. Readers should weigh the wobble as much as the thesis.

Dated public calls, taken from McGlone's own X posts (captured verbatim, linked on each card) and charted against real price. He is a single-thesis analyst in this window — every call is a variation on “Bitcoin is mean-reverting toward $10,000” — so we judged each on what price actually did over the weeks that followed, not on whether $10,000 has printed. Two of his warnings were followed by real double-digit drawdowns and score as played out. Three went against him, including the one where he named his own invalidation level and the market cleared it. Scored honestly, this window is a losing one: 2 played · 3 open · 3 against. His two newest posts, from late September, are still open.
“When the US Treasury 10-year yield reached 0.5% in 2021, with Bitcoin under $10,000, selling bonds and buying the crypto was the right thing to do, but with both yields and Bitcoin up about 10x, it may be the opposite now.”
The same bear case, now framed against bonds: with the 10-year near 5% and stocks at a record versus public debt, “the opposite” means selling Bitcoin to buy Treasuries. Said at $84,076, in line with the $84,000 his own post gives for 25 September. BTC rose as high as $86,490 (+2.9%) on 5 October and is $82,940 (-1.4%) now. Too small a move to score either way — open.
𝕏 Post“Elevated Stocks, Competition, 5% 10-Year vs. Bitcoin” — @mikemcglone11 on X↗ x.com“Has the crypto's low-price cure been achieved near $60,000 in 2026? My bias leans to unlikely, and the graphic highlights top reasons: the record-setting stock market and too much competition for non-income-producing assets from the US Treasury 10-year yield's move above 5% in 3Q.”
He says the 2026 low near $60,000 probably was not the bottom, which implies a lower low still to come. He posted the day after BTC's $86,597 close on 22 September, at $86,183. BTC has closed no higher than $86,490 (+0.4%) since and is $82,940 (-3.8%) now. That is a move in his direction, but the call is about a level still $22,940 below today's price — open.

An index-level call rather than a Bitcoin level: with stock-market cap stretched to a century high versus GDP and fed funds futures at 4.70%, he argued the Bloomberg Galaxy Crypto Index loses whether stocks rise or fall. Posted at $81,236. BTC rose as high as $86,597 (+6.6%) two days later and is $82,940 (+2.1%) now. Neither the lose-lose nor a clean miss has shown up yet — open.
𝕏 Post“Cryptos May Face a Lose-Lose vs. Fed, Stocks” — @mikemcglone11 on X↗ x.com“Bitcoin may be tracking toward its enduring pivot around $10,000, and one simple factor could get it there -- about a 20% drawdown in the SPX that persists for a while, as has happened historically.”
Three named sell signals, the first being “its recent bounce to $80,000 resistance.” Said at $77,262. BTC dipped just 2.2% to $75,590, then went straight through the resistance he named, peaking at $86,597 (+12.1%) on 22 September, and is $82,940 (+7.3%) now — still 3.7% above the level that was supposed to cap it. The SPX drawdown he needs has not come.

𝕏 Post“What Stops Bitcoin Reversion Toward $10,000? Failing vs. Stocks” — @mikemcglone11 on X↗ x.com“Yet the plunging Bitcoin/gold cross suggests risks are leaning red for beta in 2026.”
𝕏 Post“Collapsing Bitcoin vs. Gold and Lofty Stocks” — @mikemcglone11 on X↗ x.com“Prove me wrong - stay above $75,000.”
The most honest call on this page, and the clearest miss — because he set the terms himself. Said at $67,077. BTC did fall 12.7% to $58,566 first, so the bearish leg was real. But it reclaimed $75,000 on 17 April, has held above it for 48 consecutive days since 22 August, and trades at $82,940 — 10.6% clear of his line in the sand and +23.6% from the post. The market did what he asked.

05 Apr 2026 · 他为自己设下的证伪线——而市场越过了它“Bitcoin fits into my stock-puppet category due to its high correlation with the SPX, especially when beta declines, and its position as the first cryptocurrency now competing with millions of others.”
13 Sep 2026 · 他的核心框架:比特币是加了杠杆的股票贝塔“Bitcoin's performance has roughly matched the S&P 500 over the past five years, yet the first-born crypto trades with almost 3x the volatility. By the rules of risk and portfolio management -- that's a dud.”

Not so far. Over the window charted on this page Bitcoin ranged from $58,566 to $86,597 and never approached $10,000. Two of his dated warnings were followed by real drawdowns of 25.5% and 20.4%, but three went against him — including his 5 April post, where he named $75,000 as the level that would prove him wrong and Bitcoin has since held above it for more than six weeks.
