Positioning, flows and on-chain data. Lunde reads funding rates, futures open interest, ETF flows, options skew and how much supply sits at a loss. He leans against the crowd: when traders are short and nervous he turns bullish, and when leverage piles up he warns. He gives price zones and regimes more often than targets. His reports say “we”, for the K33 research team.
Bullish on Bitcoin in most reports we read, with warnings when leverage built up, as on 2 June. In August K33 said it “continues to favor a full allocation”. His X bio says he is “having a good time with my bitcoin and my crypto”.

“We therefore reiterate our bullish bias, supported by stronger momentum, reduced event uncertainty, improving structural demand, limited Strategy-related sell-side risk, modest leverage, and favorable seasonality into the quarter”
Said at $86,597, the highest daily mark in our window. Bitcoin has not closed higher since. It fell to $76,709 (−11.4%) on 3 November and is at $80,610 (−6.9%). The quarter he pointed to runs to the end of December, but the move so far is clearly against. Went against.

Said at $78,173, before a Clarity Act vote and a Fed decision. Bitcoin dipped to $75,590 (−3.3%) the next day, then rose to $86,597 (+10.8%) on 22 September, a week later. It is at $80,610 (+3.1%). The rise was sharp and the dip was small. Played out.

Each quote is from the free preview of a signed K33 report, linked on its card. The reports are dated on Tuesdays; the K33 page shows the Monday. Text in the reports (“tomorrow's FOMC” on 15 September, “Today, the U.S. midterm elections” on 3 November) fits the Tuesday date, so we use it. Each call is measured from that day's midnight CoinGecko mark. The reports say “we”, meaning the K33 research team he leads. On 29 September he repeated the bullish view (“we see considerable upside asymmetry”) at $83,479; we charted it once, on 22 September. Reports that only described the market are not charted. A call with no deadline stays open until price settles it.

A small fee that traders of perpetual futures pay each other. When it is negative, short sellers pay long holders, which shows most traders are betting on a fall. Lunde reads long runs of negative funding as a sign that a short squeeze could come.
