A pseudonymous chartist who left nursing to trade full-time. His output is unusually plain: a level, an invalidation, and a target — posted publicly, with dates, and almost always with “NFA” attached. That makes him one of the easier voices in crypto to actually score.

In short. Nebraskangooner is a full-time technical trader who built his following on X and TradingView by posting structure, not narratives — Wyckoff accumulation schematics, monthly and weekly candle closes, and explicit support levels that invalidate his own thesis if they break. He came to markets from healthcare, working as a pediatric dialysis nurse before buying his first crypto in 2017 and eventually going full-time. He sells a paid Portfolio Tracker membership and co-built the Top Goon X momentum indicator. His 2026 record is genuinely mixed: his mid-year reads on Solana and Ethereum caught the recovery early, while his May call for a broad altcoin breakout failed almost immediately.

Background — from the dialysis ward to the daily chart

Nebraskangooner trades under a pseudonym — the handle stitches together Nebraska and “Gooner,” the nickname for an Arsenal supporter — and has never made his legal name public. What he has made public, on nebraskangooner.com, is where he came from: a career as a pediatric dialysis nurse before he bought his first crypto in 2017, studied the market for years, and moved to trading full-time. That route matters for reading him: he is a self-taught chartist, not an ex-institutional desk trader, and his framework is the classic retail TA canon — Wyckoff phases, higher-timeframe candle closes, support and resistance zones — applied with more discipline than most.

The business around him is small and openly stated: a paid Portfolio Tracker membership where he posts his own positions and setups, the Top Goon X momentum indicator he co-designed with SatoshiHeavy, and free educational material at TradeEducation.io. His YouTube channel (29.1K subscribers) is sporadic — X and TradingView, where he has published 92 ideas, are where the actual calls land. Cointelegraph and other outlets quote his charts regularly, which is how several of the calls below entered the record.

On the honesty ledger: his clearest in-window miss is 10 May 2026, when he posted that TOTAL2 — the altcoin market cap — was “breaking out from this bottoming pattern” with the “altcoin market primed for more upside.” Cointelegraph carried it four days later as an early altseason signal. The breakout failed. Over the following weeks Ethereum fell from $2,327 to a $1,566 low (−32.7%) and Solana from $93 to $62 (−33.2%) before either recovered. TOTAL2 is not one of the four price series this site charts, so that call cannot appear in the track record below — which is precisely why it is written here instead.

Trading style & philosophy

Structure-first technical analysis. Nebraskangooner reads price as a sequence of phases rather than a forecast: Wyckoff accumulation schematics (selling climax → secondary test → spring → sign of strength), monthly and weekly candle closes as confirmation, and horizontal support zones that double as stop-out levels. The signature move is publishing the invalidation alongside the target — “needs to hold $73.5k support otherwise bottom is NOT in” — which is rarer than it should be and makes his posts falsifiable. He also runs his own momentum tool, Top Goon X, across multiple timeframes. The weakness is the one built into pattern-recognition: a breakout that looks clean on the daily can fail within days, as his May altcoin call did, and the framework offers no early warning when it does.

Conditionally bullish. He has leaned to the long side through 2026's drawdown — calling accumulation on SOL and a bottom on ETH — but always hangs the thesis on a level that would cancel it, so his bias is bullish-with-a-stop rather than permabullish.

Track record — his calls, charted

Dated public calls from his own X posts (captured verbatim) and dated coverage quoting him, charted against real price. He posts levels with invalidations, so these are scored on whether price did what he said from the day he said it. A rolling 2026 sample: his SOL and ETH reads through the summer worked well; his September bottom call is only days old and still open. One further in-window call is deliberately not shown here — his 10 May altcoin (TOTAL2) breakout, which failed hard. TOTAL2 is not a series this site can chart, so rather than let it vanish it is documented in the biography above and the FAQ below. Read the record as 3 charted calls plus 1 disclosed miss, not as a clean sheet.

“Looks like bottom is more likely in than not after August candle close. Needs to hold $73.5k support otherwise bottom is NOT in. So that is the invalidation line for bull thesis. Potential for $87k and $97k if bottom support holds true.”

BTC $78.6kLow after $77.3k · -2%Now $79.8k
$1,000 in on his call$1,016 · +1.6%worst dip along the way -2% (−$16)

A textbook Gooner post: a thesis, an invalidation and two targets. BTC was $78,553 that day. Since then it has held — the low is $77,297 (−1.6%), never close to testing his $73.5k line — and it sits at $79,876 (+1.7%), with a high of $81,265 (+3.5%). Neither $87k nor $97k has been reached. The support is intact and the thesis is alive, but this is days old: logged open, not vindicated.

His best call of the sample. SOL was $74 when he read the daily chart as Wyckoff accumulation — the phase that precedes a markup. It marked the turn almost exactly: the drawdown after was just −2.3% ($72), and SOL then ran to $109 (+48.4%), sitting at $106 (+44.5%) now. Coverage of the post put his levels at $75–$77 to hold and $85–$90 to reclaim; both happened.

$1,000 in on his call$1,391 · +39.1%worst dip along the way -13% (−$126)

A conditional call, and the condition was the whole point: ETH at $1,791 had “some promising signs locally” but, in his words, “a lot of work” left — reclaim $2,000 and the bottom is probably in. It did, and then some: ETH reached $2,515 (+40.4%) and trades at $2,494 (+39.2%). Credit with a caveat — price first fell −12.6% to $1,566, so the real low came after his post. His own “a lot of work” hedge covered exactly that.

How he makes money — and where the conflicts are

A small, openly-disclosed business: one paid membership, one indicator, and a free education site. No token launches, no exchange referral spam that we could find — but he is selling access to the same calls he posts publicly, and that is worth pricing in.

Portfolio Tracker (paid)

A subscription where members see his positions, entries, targets and stops. His public posts are the shop window for it — bullish, well-framed charts are also marketing.

Top Goon X indicator

A multi-timeframe momentum tool he co-designed with SatoshiHeavy and promotes across his channels. He references its signals in public posts, which is both his method and his product.

Education & YouTube

Free material at TradeEducation.io and a sporadic YouTube channel. Audience is the asset; the trading and the media business feed each other.

His own book

He posts positions rather than hiding them, so his public bias generally reflects real exposure. His site carries an explicit leverage-risk and not-financial-advice disclaimer, and he signs calls “NFA”.

Straight answers

Who is Nebraskangooner?+

A pseudonymous full-time crypto trader and technical analyst who posts chart setups to X and TradingView as @Nebraskangooner. His own site says he worked as a pediatric dialysis nurse before buying his first crypto in 2017 and moving to trading full-time. His legal name is not public.

What is Nebraskangooner's net worth?+

Not publicly known, and no credible figure exists. His disclosed income sources are a paid Portfolio Tracker membership, the Top Goon X indicator, and his own trading. Treat any specific number you see quoted as unverified.

Is Nebraskangooner's analysis reliable?+

Mixed, and he does not claim otherwise — his posts carry “NFA”. In the 2026 sample here, his July Solana accumulation read (+44.5% since) and his June Ethereum bottom condition (+39.2% since) both worked. His 10 May 2026 call that the altcoin market was “primed for more upside” failed within days, with ETH and SOL each falling roughly 33% from that date before recovering. He is a commentator, not an adviser — never trade his posts blindly.

What is Nebraskangooner's strategy?+

Structure-first technical analysis: Wyckoff accumulation phases, monthly and weekly candle closes as confirmation, and horizontal support zones published as explicit invalidation levels alongside his targets. He also uses Top Goon X, a multi-timeframe momentum indicator he co-designed.

Why isn't his altcoin call in the track record?+

Because it was a call on TOTAL2, the total altcoin market cap, and this site charts calls only against four price series (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, NEAR). Rather than quietly drop a losing call we could not chart, it is documented in full in his biography above and in the quotes section.
