Mister Crypto is an anonymous trader who posts Bitcoin chart patterns, price levels and market news to about 139,000 followers on X as @misterrcrypto, and runs a YouTube channel under the same name. On 1 July, the day of Bitcoin's lowest close since mid-March, they wrote “The breakout will catch everyone off guard.” In August they twice waited for one more drop, to $52,000 and then into a “trap”, and Bitcoin rose about a third instead.
In short. Mister Crypto posts as @misterrcrypto. On our sample of seven in-window calls the record is 2 played out, 3 open, 2 went against. The falling-wedge call on the 1 July low and the September call for $75,000 played out. Two August calls for one more flush lower went against, as Bitcoin rallied without them. Their targets of $100,000–$150,000 for Bitcoin and $3,000–$6,000 for Ether are still open.
The @misterrcrypto account was opened in March 2021 and carries X's verified badge. The display name is Mister Crypto, and the bio reads “Bitcoin & Altcoin trader and investor. Hunting opportunities in Crypto.” No location is given. We found no interview or public record that names the person behind it, so this page uses they/them.
Their posts mix chart patterns (wedges, Wyckoff schematics, head and shoulders, “Quasimodo”), liquidity and order-book levels, and comparisons with past cycles, with macro and market-news headlines, many in capital letters, and questions put to @grok. A linked YouTube channel, @MisterCrypto, has more than 1,300 uploads going back about five years, most of them short Bitcoin videos.
We read 848 posts from their X profile feed, from 16 June to 9 October 2026; the feed did not reach further back, so their spring posts are not covered. Most posts hedge with “could” or “if”, so we graded the level or path each one named. On the days after a call they often claim it: “I CALLED THE BITCOIN TRAP YESTERDAY.” We checked those claims against price too.

Bold headlines, hedged levels. Mister Crypto names a pattern, a level and a next move, usually with “could”: “If this schematic continues to play out, one final sweep toward $52,000 could mark the cycle bottom”. They often take a side on both the near-term dip and the big target at once, and end posts with lines like “Screenshot this.” and “History could be repeating.”
Leaning bullish. On 9 October they wrote that a drop “into the $70,000 to $73,000 range” could be “a GIFT”, and the same day that Bitcoin was “showing early signs of a bullish reversal.” Their August targets of $100,000–$150,000 for Bitcoin still stand.
Seven dated calls from Mister Crypto, all from their own X posts, each checked word for word against the post and charted against real price. The tally is 2 played out, 3 open, 2 went against.

𝕏 Post“My targets for the next 6–8 months” — @misterrcrypto on X↗ x.com“Now the same setup is forming around $65,500. Breakout first → trap → another flush. History could be repeating.”

𝕏 Post“Breakout first → trap → another flush.” — @misterrcrypto on X↗ x.com“If this schematic continues to play out, one final sweep toward $52,000 could mark the cycle bottom before Bitcoin begins its next major move higher.”
Posted at $64,880. Bitcoin's lowest close after the post was $62,844 (−3.1%) on 17 August, nowhere near $52,000. It then rose to $86,597 (+33.5%) on 22 September without the sweep, and is at $82,520 (+27.2%). Two weeks later they wrote “BITCOIN’S WYCKOFF ACCUMULATION KEEPS PLAYING OUT.” The move higher came, but anyone waiting for $52,000 missed it. Went against.
𝕏 Post“One final sweep toward $52,000 could mark the cycle bottom” — @misterrcrypto on X↗ x.com“Bitcoin has fallen to $58,600. The falling wedge is almost complete. The breakout will catch everyone off guard.”
Posted at $58,566, Bitcoin's lowest close since mid-March. Bitcoin never closed lower after the post. It rose to $86,597 (+47.9%) on 22 September and is at $82,520 (+40.9%). No target was given, so we graded the direction. Played out.
𝕏 Post“The breakout will catch everyone off guard.” — @misterrcrypto on X↗ x.comOutcomes are our read of the stated level or path against real price, not Mister Crypto's own scoring. Every quote is verbatim from the post linked on its card. Each call is charted at that day's midnight CoinGecko mark; the posts went out between 11:10 and 20:03 UTC, and for the four afternoon and evening posts we also give the next day's mark. Daily closes can miss intraday highs and lows, so a level touched only intraday is not counted. The “$1,000 in” line on each card assumes buying on the day, even for calls that expected a drop first.
