@JustinBennettFX
A forex trader and educator who runs Daily Price Action and spent 2026 as one of crypto X's loudest Bitcoin bears. His standing target was $44k, and he said he was short from just above $80k. He read the May–June leg down well. On 22 May, at $77,550, he named $71k–$72k and then $60k as the next stops, and both came. He also called the 1 July bounce on the day of the year's low. After that he stayed bearish, and Bitcoin went to $86,597 instead of $44k.
In short. Justin Bennett trades forex, gold and indices with Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and posts Bitcoin and Ether levels on X as @JustinBennettFX. On our sample of seven in-window posts the record is 2 played out, 1 open, 4 went against. His best read was the 22 May map from $77,550: $71k–$72k came on 2 June, and $60k came within days. His bounce call on 1 July came at the 2026 low of $58,566. The misses are the big picture. His $44k target never came, “#Bitcoin has NOT bottomed” on 13 July came a day before Bitcoin's last dip, and his August plan of a sweep to $69k–$72k “before lower” was invalidated when August closed at $77,658.
Justin Bennett runs Daily Price Action (dailypriceaction.com), a trading-education site. In his own words on its About page, he is “a forex trader and educator”, began trading forex in 2002, has “taught more than 5,000 student traders” and has been interviewed by Stocks and Commodities Magazine as a featured trader. His sales page says he has traded full-time since 2012, “mostly in forex”. He has been on X as @JustinBennettFX since March 2014, and his X bio reads “Full-time SMC trader.” These are his own claims; we found no independent record of his trading results.
Most of his output is not about crypto. His YouTube channel's weekly “Weekly SMC Outlook” covers EUR/USD, gold, oil and the S&P 500, and Bitcoin shows up in some titles. On X, crypto took over in 2026. He posted Bitcoin levels many times a day through July and August, often with whale-versus-retail, CVD and liquidation data that he credits to Hyblock Capital. The latest X post we could capture is from 20 August, the day Bitcoin broke out. His YouTube uploads continue.
His 2026 crypto view was a bear market driven by macro: rising bond yields, weak PMI data and stock market risk, rather than the four-year halving cycle. On 18 May he wrote “BTC to $30k, ETH to $500” and said he was still targeting the mid-$40ks. On 5 June he said he was “still short from $80,679”. On 31 July he posted that he had bought Bitcoin and Ether spot on the dip. Seven posts qualified as calls. Several more were examined and excluded, and each is listed with its reason in the verified corpus.

Structure first, then liquidity. Bennett trades Smart Money Concepts. He reads market structure from breaks of structure (BoS) and changes of character (CHoCH), marks “inefficiencies” such as fair value gaps and single prints, and expects price to sweep liquidity above old highs or below old lows before it turns. On top of that he reads Tether dominance (USDT.D), the total crypto market cap and macro charts such as bond yields. Most posts give a level and what happens if it breaks. That makes the short-term posts hard to grade, and we left the conditional ones out. The strength in this sample is the next leg: the May drop and the July bounce. The weakness is the big picture. His bear-market framework stayed in place while Bitcoin rose 48% from its July low.
Bearish for most of the window. He held a $44k Bitcoin target from March and disclosed a short from just above $80k. He turned briefly constructive for relief rallies on 1 July and in early August, but each time framed them as rallies to sell before lower prices. On 20 August he asked whether Bitcoin could close August above $67k “or is this just a mitigation … before another move lower in September?”
Seven dated posts from @JustinBennettFX, each captured verbatim from X and charted against real price. The tally is 2 played out, 1 open, 4 went against. Both wins are near-term calls: the 22 May map to $71k–$72k and then $60k, and the 1 July bounce call. The 27 March $44k target, the 13 July “has NOT bottomed”, the 31 July Ether pullback to $1,800 and the August “before lower” plan all went against. His call for Ether below $1,000 this year is still open, with Ether far above it.
“Anticipating an August sweep of the July highs into $69-$72k before lower. Invalidation would be an August close above $67k.”
His monthly plan, posted at $63,504: a rally into $69k–$72k, then a drop. Bitcoin first slipped to $62,844 (−1.0%) on 17 August. It then reached the zone on 20 August at $69,291 (+9.1%) and went straight through it to $73,021 (+15.0%) the next day. August closed at $77,658 (+22.3%), above his own $67k invalidation. Bitcoin went on to $86,597 (+36.4%) and holds $85,208 (+34.2%). Went against.

A pullback call on Ether, posted at $1,918, with $1,800 or $1,700 as the targets. The lowest daily mark after it was $1,843 (−3.9%) on 2 August, short of both. Three weeks later Ether broke out to $2,515 (+31.2%), and it holds $2,714 (+41.5%). Went against.
𝕏 Post“whether we see ETH at $1,800 on this pullback or $1,700” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.com“#Bitcoin has NOT bottomed. Everything structurally points to lower prices.”
A bottom call in reverse, posted at $63,747, twelve days after the 2026 low. The next day Bitcoin dipped to $62,279 (−2.3%), and that was its last daily mark below this price. The 1 July low of $58,566 held. Bitcoin went on to $86,597 (+35.8%) and holds $85,208 (+33.7%). Went against.
𝕏 Post“#Bitcoin has NOT bottomed.” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.com“$BTC bounce incoming? Looks that way. The inability to push below $59k/$60k, combined with several unmitigated inefficiencies, suggests some short-term relief. $65k could be one to watch.”
A short-term relief call, posted at $58,566, which turned out to be Bitcoin's lowest daily mark of 2026. The bounce came: $64,984 (+11.0%) on 15 July, close to his $65k level, and $66,521 (+13.6%) on 22 July. In the same post he wrote that it did “not change my $44k target”, and the same day he called any rally “for shorting”. Bitcoin went on to $86,597 (+47.9%) and holds $85,208 (+45.5%). The bounce call played out.
𝕏 Post“$BTC bounce incoming? Looks that way.” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.com“$ETH likely back to sub $1k this year barring a crypto miracle.”
A year-end call on Ether, posted at $1,666. Ether dipped to $1,566 (−6.0%) on 26 June, then turned. It reached $2,775 (+66.6%) on 22 September and holds $2,714 (+62.9%). It would have to fall more than 63% from here before December ends. Open, but going the wrong way.
𝕏 Post“$ETH likely back to sub $1k this year barring a crypto miracle.” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.com“Next stop for $BTC is probably $71-$72k. If that fails (likely), $60k is next, followed by the mid-$40k range.”
A three-step map, posted at $77,550. The first step came on 2 June at $71,320 (−8.0%). That level failed, as he expected: $60,855 (−21.5%) on 7 June, and the 2026 low of $58,566 (−24.5%) on 1 July. The third step, the mid-$40ks, never came. Bitcoin is at $85,208 (+9.9%) now. Two of three steps played out.
𝕏 Post“Next stop for $BTC is probably $71-$72k.” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.com“$BTC is testing critical support today. All signs still point to $44k IMO.”
His standing target, posted at $68,727 and repeated through June. Bitcoin rallied first, to $82,018 (+19.3%) on 11 May. It then fell to $58,566 (−14.8%) on 1 July, its 2026 low and still far above $44k. It holds $85,208 (+24.0%). Went against.
𝕏 Post“All signs still point to $44k IMO.” — @JustinBennettFX on X↗ x.comOutcomes are our read of the stated claim against real price, not his own scoring. Every quote is a verbatim X post, linked on its card and reproduced in full in the verified corpus. We did not chart posts that hinge on a level breaking (“If $BTC loses $64k … we likely see $62k”), or intraday data posts. We also skipped restatements of a charted call: his repeated $44k posts, and two later “not bottomed” and “dump than pump” posts that would also have scored against him. We skipped one 18 May post that would have scored as a win, because it describes the same leg as the 22 May card. Prices are CoinGecko daily marks, so an intraday post is measured from that day's mark. The “$1,000 in on his call” line assumes buying on the post date; for his bearish cards, that line is not a short. Near-term marks can flip.
Bennett's X posts, YouTube videos and SMC training are free. They lead to a paid membership and a broker referral. Here is what we found.
His sales page sells VIP Edge, a lifetime membership for $997 with a 30-day refund. It includes the “STACK” SMC course, a Discord of “1,400+ traders” and his “live trade alerts, including entry, stop loss, and targets”. The free three-part SMC training linked in his X bio is the entry point to it. On 29 July he also floated a paid X subscription for BTC and ETH updates.
His X bio links an “IC Markets $1k deposit bonus” through dailypriceaction.com/ic-markets, which forwards to IC Markets' sign-up page with a tracked campaign code. His brokers page says he “might earn a small commission” from these links, and that a deposit of $10k or more gets lifetime VIP Discord access and the full SMC course free. IC Markets is a leveraged CFD and forex broker.
He discloses trades on X. On 5 June he wrote he was “still short from $80,679”, and on 23 June “Still short from just above $80k.” On 31 July he posted “Bought $BTC and $ETH (spot) on this dip.” A trader who is short has a stake in the bearish calls he posts.
