@ColinTCrypto
Colin Talks Crypto is a Bitcoin cycle analyst with about 88,000 followers on X and a YouTube channel. He made the CBBI, a free index of Bitcoin cycle tops and bottoms. He was bearish from November 2025 and timed the May top and the June breakdown well. But his targets for a much deeper bottom did not come, and he turned bullish in August, after the 1 July low.
In short. Colin posts as @ColinTCrypto. On our sample of 12 calls (11 Bitcoin, 1 Ethereum) from 2 April to 28 September the record is 5 played out, 1 open, 6 went against. His spring calls on the top and the breakdown were good. His deep bear market targets and his summer calls for new lows were wrong.
Colin runs the Colin Talks Crypto channel on YouTube and posts on X as @ColinTCrypto, an account opened in September 2014. His X profile gives his location as Puerto Rico. He does not publish his surname, and we did not find it in a reliable source. Crypto news sites such as NewsBTC call him “crypto analyst Colin”.
He created the CBBI (Colin Talks Crypto Bitcoin Bull Run Index), a free, open-source index that scores nine metrics to judge where Bitcoin is in its cycle. The CBBI site names him as creator and Kamil Monicz as the original developer. He also often uses the global M2 money supply, moving averages and chart patterns.
In November 2025, NewsBTC reported him saying Bitcoin could still make new highs that cycle. By his own account he turned bearish on 14 November 2025, and he stayed bearish until August 2026. On 4 June he wrote “I got this one wrong.” about a support level that broke. We graded every Bitcoin and Ethereum post from 16 March to 12 October 2026 that leaned one way, not only the best ones.

Cycle timing first, then chart levels. Colin measures how long Bitcoin bear markets usually last and how far they fall, then looks for chart patterns and moving averages to time entries and exits. He often gives odds, such as “I currently give 70% odds”, and says when he thinks he was wrong. He sells into rallies and buys back in steps.
Leaning bullish. On 24 September he put his confidence that the cycle low is in at up to 85%. On 8 October he wrote “I think we see lower still”, and he is holding cash to buy a dip.
Twelve dated calls from Colin Talks Crypto, all from his own X posts, each checked word for word against the post and charted against real price. The tally is 5 played out, 1 open, 6 went against.
“If we get a drop back into this range (see blue box), that will be the prime time to stack BTC on the dip. This is looking increasingly likely.”

𝕏 Post“Bear Market Targets $BTC $35k-$40k” — @ColinTCrypto on X↗ x.comOutcomes are our read of the stated claim against real price, not Colin's own scoring. Every quote is verbatim from the post linked on its card. Each call is charted at that day's midnight CoinGecko mark. Three posts went out late in the day (after 20:00 UTC); their cards say so. We grade on daily closes, so a short intraday wick does not count. His 2 April post gave targets for both Bitcoin and Ethereum, so it has two cards. The “$1,000 in” line on each card assumes buying on the day, even for bearish calls.
