@ChartingGuy
An anonymous chart analyst who posts Bitcoin, Ether and stock calls on X. In late May and June the account kept calling the bottom too early: a quick run to $94,000, a “bear trap”, and “the worst of it is well behind us”. Bitcoin fell to $58,566 on 1 July instead. The later calls went better. On 24 June the account said it was “accumulation time”, a week before the low, and from July to August it said the lows were in for Ether and Bitcoin. Both then rose by more than a third.
In short. Charting Guy posts charts on X as @ChartingGuy and sells a Patreon and Discord group. On our sample of eight dated posts the record is 3 played out, 2 open, 3 went against. The misses are the bottom calls from 29 May to 15 June. The wins are the accumulation calls from 24 June to 12 August. The open calls are new all-time highs around the end of 2026, and “anything under $80k” being a bear trap.
The account joined X in August 2022. It goes by Charting Guy and gives no real name, photo of a face, location or employer. The bio reads “Technical Analyst 📈📉📊📚 Stargazer ☀️🌒🌌✨” and links to a Patreon page. We found no licence or audited track record.
It posts on crypto, US stocks, oil and indices, often many times a day. Most of the crypto posts are about Bitcoin, Ether against Bitcoin, and Bitcoin dominance. It also mixes in astrology: in August it said a lunar cycle had ended in March and that a solar eclipse marked a new phase.
X search returned nothing for this account. We read the profile feed instead: 754 posts, with the account's own posts unbroken from 16 June to 5 November 2026. The three earlier posts we chart came from an earlier research pass and were each fetched again from X.

Wave counts, indicators and the calendar. Charting Guy reads Elliott wave counts, Fibonacci levels and slow indicators such as the monthly MACD, the weekly supertrend and the Gaussian channel. The account also uses moon cycles and eclipses for timing. Most calls are about direction, not exact targets. In late May and early June the account called the turn about a month and 18% too early. From late June it was early by days, not weeks.
Bullish on Bitcoin and Ether in every call we charted. In August the account said it was bullish for “the next 2-2.5 years”. On 1 November it wrote “i am bullish af already”.
Eight dated posts from @ChartingGuy, each captured verbatim from X and charted against real price. The tally is 3 played out, 2 open, 3 went against. The misses are the bottom calls from 29 May to 15 June. The wins are the calls from 24 June to 12 August.
“anything under $80k $BTC is a bear trap and accumulation opportunity imo”
Posted at $80,049. Bitcoin rose to $81,274 (+1.5%) on 29 October, then fell to $76,709 (−4.2%) on 3 November. It is at $80,610 (+0.7%). Too soon to tell whether the dip under $80,000 was a trap. Open.

Posted at $76,555. Bitcoin's highest daily mark is $124,659, from 6 October 2025, about 63% above the post's price. Bitcoin rose to $86,597 (+13.1%) on 22 September and is at $80,610 (+5.3%). Ether was at $2,438 and is at $2,429, about half its own high of $4,832. On 30 September the account said new Bitcoin highs would come “in the first half of 2027”. Open until the end of the year, but far off.
𝕏 Post“a very high chance that $BTC and $ETH are back at new ATH’s around the end of the year” — @ChartingGuy on X↗ x.com“i am now HTF bullish for the next 2-2.5 years on $BTC any possible bearishness the next few weeks/months (if it even happens) should be very very minimal and FADED imo”
Posted at $63,538, on the day of a solar eclipse that the post gives as the reason. The lowest mark after it was $62,844 (−1.1%) on 17 August. Bitcoin then rose to $86,597 (+36.3%) on 22 September and is at $80,610 (+26.9%). The weeks after were not bearish. Played out, while the 2-2.5 year view stays open.

Posted at $1,953. Ether's lowest mark in our window, $1,566, came a month earlier, on 26 June. After the post it dipped only to $1,843 (−5.6%) on 2 August, then rose to $2,775 (+42.1%) on 22 September. It is at $2,429 (+24.4%). Played out.

Posted at $62,662. Bitcoin dipped once more, to $58,566 (−6.5%) on 1 July, its lowest mark in our window. Its first daily mark back above $80,000 was $80,268 on 28 August, and it reached $86,597 (+38.2%) on 22 September. It is at $80,610 (+28.6%). A week early, but a good buying zone. Played out.

Posted at $65,709. Bitcoin's February low was $62,910 on 5 February. Two weeks after the post it fell to $58,566 (−10.9%) on 1 July, below that February low. It later rose to $86,597 (+31.8%) on 22 September and is at $80,610 (+22.7%). The claim was that the worst was behind, and it was not. Went against.
𝕏 Post“the worst of it is well behind us and has been since February” — @ChartingGuy on X↗ x.com“the real bear flag people should be talking about… $BTC.D remains the signal that this current dip is a bear trap imo”
Posted at $71,320. The dip did not reverse: Bitcoin kept falling for a month, to $58,566 (−17.9%) on 1 July. It rose to $86,597 (+21.4%) on 22 September and is at $80,610 (+13.0%). A bear trap reverses fast; this one fell another 18% first. Went against.
𝕏 Post“this current dip is a bear trap imo” — @ChartingGuy on X↗ x.com“$BTC same thing with $70k range, then boom $94k in a quick amount of time”
Posted at 23:53 UTC; the 29 May mark was $73,652 and the next one $73,501. The post compared Bitcoin to the Robinhood stock. Instead of a quick run, Bitcoin fell to $58,566 (−20.5%) on 1 July. Its highest mark since is $86,597 (+17.6%) on 22 September, short of $94,000. It is at $80,610 (+9.4%). Went against.
𝕏 Post“$BTC same thing with $70k range, then boom $94k in a quick amount of time” — @ChartingGuy on X↗ x.comOutcomes are our read of the stated claim against real price, not the trader's own scoring. Every quote is a verbatim X post, linked on its card and reproduced in full in the verified corpus. Each post is measured from that day's midnight CoinGecko mark. The 29 May post went out at 23:53 UTC, so the next mark, $73,501 on 30 May, is a fairer start; the verdict is the same. The account repeats its views, so we charted each one once: the 1 July “BTC is in accumulation” post repeats 24 June, the 1 and 7 September “low was already in” posts repeat 12 August, and the 30 September call for new highs “in the first half of 2027” pushes back the 11 September one. We did not chart Ether-against-Bitcoin, dominance or stock posts. A call with no deadline stays open until price settles it.
Charting Guy's charts are free on X. Here is how the account says it earns from them.
The bio links to patreon.com/ChartingGuy, which gives access to a Discord group. A July post said “join up for only $10 a month”, and an August post said “join the discord before prices go up”. The Patreon page blocked our checks, so we could not see the current price or member count.
In September the account wrote “i do not spoon feed on X”: short-term trades are for paying members, and X gets “HTF views and coded posts”. The free posts we graded are the slower, bigger-picture calls.
Posts claim “$67k profit in trades for the month of August”, “+ $4340 on day trades and swing trades for July so far”, and in October that the account “called the September 18th bullish pivot to the day, 3 weeks in advance”. Those calls were inside the paid group, so we could not check them, and we did not chart them.

An anonymous technical analyst on X (@ChartingGuy) with about 54,000 followers, on the platform since 2022. The account posts Bitcoin, Ether, stock and oil charts, and sells a Patreon and Discord group. It gives no real name.
On our sample of eight dated posts from 29 May to 26 October 2026: three played out, two are open, three went against. The bottom calls from late May to mid-June came too early, before Bitcoin fell to $58,566. The accumulation calls from late June to August worked.
Yes. A Patreon gives access to a Discord with short-term trades; a July post priced it at $10 a month. The account says short-term trades are not posted on X.
A drop that looks like the start of a fall but reverses fast, catching sellers on the wrong side. A dip that keeps going for weeks is not a bear trap, even if price recovers months later.
