@bitcoinmunger
A pseudonymous account whose bio says it is a “Cartoon character that likes Bitcoin”, and whose avatar is a caricature of the late investor Charlie Munger. It posts short Bitcoin calls with round numbers. Its best stretch was July to August: it said Bitcoin was at or close to the bottom on 14 July at $62,279, then called $70,000 and $80,000, and both came. Its $90,000 and $100,000 targets have not come.
In short. Bitcoin Munger posts on X as @bitcoinmunger to about 47,000 followers. The account does not name the person behind it and says its content is free. It is bullish almost all the time. On our sample of nine Bitcoin posts from 25 March to 7 October the record is 4 played out, 2 open, 3 went against. The good calls were the 25 March $80,000 call, the 14 July bottom call, and the August calls for $70,000 and $80,000. The misses were $90,000 in May, a bottom in the first week of June, and a jump to $100,000 after a break of $82,000.
The account @bitcoinmunger dates from March 2016 and has about 47,000 followers. Its bio reads “Cartoon character that likes Bitcoin”, and its avatar is a cartoon of Charlie Munger, the Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman who died in 2023 and was a famous Bitcoin critic. The name is a joke on him; we found nothing linking the account to Munger or to Berkshire. The person behind it is not named, and we found no press coverage of the account.
Its posts are short, bullish and often rude. The message all window was the same: dips are for buying, and Bitcoin will rally hard. In 2026 it blamed Binance founder CZ for holding the price down. It names levels often — $80,000, $82,000, $88,000, $90,000, $100,000 — and sometimes a month. On 22 September it posted that “A big crash is coming!” over an upside-down chart, a joke that pointed up, not down. We did not chart that post.
This page grades Bitcoin calls only. X search returned nothing for this account, so the reading list is its profile feed, which covers the whole price window (about 170 of its own posts from 20 March to 11 October). We charted posts that name a level, a time or a turning point. We left out general cheerleading like “dips are for buying”, posts about Tesla and other stocks, and calls that depend on a condition we cannot test.

Always long, with round numbers. Bitcoin Munger reads a few simple signals — the MACD, the Ichimoku cloud, SuperTrend, on-balance volume, funding rates and order-book walls — and nearly always concludes that Bitcoin is going up. That worked in the July–September rally, when its $70,000 and $80,000 calls came quickly. It did not work in May and June, when Bitcoin fell from $82,018 to $58,566 while the account kept calling for $90,000. Its bigger targets — $90,000 in October and a quick move to $100,000 — are still waiting.
Bullish on Bitcoin all window. Even the one bearish-sounding post in our sample, on 2 June, expected a quick final drop and a bottom the same week.
Nine dated posts from @bitcoinmunger, all on Bitcoin, each captured verbatim from X and charted against real price. The tally is 4 played out, 2 open, 3 went against. The 25 March $80,000 call, the 14 July bottom call, the 19 August $70,000 call and the 24 August $80,000 call played out. The $90,000-in-May call, the 2 June bottom-this-week call and the 9 September $100,000 call went against. The $90,000-in-October call and the 7 October $88,000 call are still open.

𝕏 Post“$80k is coming.” — @bitcoinmunger on X↗ x.comOutcomes are our read of the stated claim against real price, not the account's own scoring. Every quote is a verbatim X post, linked on its card and reproduced in full in the verified corpus. We did not chart joke posts, cheerleading without a level or time, stock posts, or conditional calls. Prices are CoinGecko daily marks, so an intraday post is measured from that day's mark, and intraday highs and lows do not show. The 7 October post came at 20:54 UTC, about three hours before the next daily mark of $83,282. The “$1,000 in on their call” line assumes buying on the post date. Near-term marks can flip.
The account says its posts are free and sells no subscription that we could find. Here is what we found.
In January 2025 the account wrote that almost every account it respects now charges a subscription, and: “My content will always be free. I make my money in the arena, not here.” We found no paid group, newsletter or course.
In November 2025 it announced a public portfolio on Botsfolio, a copy-trading site, that followers could copy, with the disclaimer “You are following a cartoon character.” On 15 October 2026 that link redirected to the Botsfolio home page. We do not know whether the account earns fees from copiers.
In February 2025 it recommended the Bitcoin rewards card from Fold, with a link to Fold's site. The post did not say whether this was paid.
It says it is all in on Bitcoin (“We are all in now.”, 31 March 2026) and that it was adding to Tesla stock below $400 (6 July 2026). These are its own claims; we cannot check them.

A pseudonymous X account, @bitcoinmunger, with about 47,000 followers. Its bio calls it a cartoon character that likes Bitcoin, and its avatar is a cartoon of the late Charlie Munger. The person behind it is not named, and we found no link to Munger or Berkshire Hathaway.
On our sample of nine dated Bitcoin posts from March to October 2026: four played out, two are still open, three went against. The 14 July bottom call and the August $70,000 and $80,000 calls played out. The $90,000-in-May and quick $100,000 calls did not.
Rarely. In our sample the closest was 2 June, when it expected one more drop and a bottom that week. The drop came, but the low came on 1 July. A 22 September post saying a crash was coming was a joke over an upside-down chart.
We found no paid product. The account says its content will always be free. It has promoted a copy-trading portfolio on Botsfolio and once recommended the Fold Bitcoin rewards card.
