@AltcoinSherpa
Kurz gesagt. Altcoin Sherpa (@AltcoinSherpa, roughly 250,000 followers) is one of crypto X's long-running anonymous chartists — posting chart analysis publicly since at least April 2021, trading since 2016 by his own bio, and putting out several reads a day through every kind of tape. The method is ordinary technical analysis done consistently: 4-hour and higher-timeframe EMAs, volume-profile points of control, range highs and lows, and a standing rule that altcoins only work “as long as btc is stable”. The record below is the honest shape of that: he was wrong at the spring top — “Majors look pretty bottomed” in March, “still cautiously bullish” three weeks before Bitcoin's 11 May peak and ten weeks before its 1 July low — and right at the summer bottom, calling support the day after Bitcoin's $58,566 low and naming both the $73k Bitcoin break and the $2.4k Ethereum target that actually printed.

Konditionale technische Analyse, laut ausgesprochen.
Thirteen dated posts from his own X account, each captured live from X and charted against what price actually did next. An honest caveat on selection: Sherpa posts several times a day, so this is a sample — the posts that are indexed in public search or were embedded in news recaps — not his complete output. We took every gradable one we found rather than picking winners, which is why three of his spring calls are here and all three go against him. The shape that emerges is real and unflattering-then-flattering: he was bullish through April into what became the May top and right at the July bottom, naming two targets ($73k on Bitcoin, $2.4k on Ethereum) that both printed.
“$ETH: If you're long here you're just waiting for it to put in the +20% candle that we're all waiting for. I think ETH still looks pretty damn strong but it's been in this tight 5% range for weeks now; don't see that changing until btc legs up significantly. I have some calls on ETHA”
The rare post where he names his own position: call options on ETHA, BlackRock's spot-Ether ETF — a leveraged long. The read attached to it is patient rather than a target: ETH “looks pretty damn strong”, but the range holds until Bitcoin “legs up significantly”. ETH was $2,710 on the chart's 6 October point (the post went up at 15:06 UTC). Two days later Bitcoin had done the opposite of legging up, and ETH sits at $2,571 (−5.2%) — the lowest point since the post and below the range he described. Logged open: the +20% candle he is waiting for has not come, and nor has a break that clearly ends the idea.
𝕏 Post“I have some calls on ETHA” — @AltcoinSherpa, 06 Oct 2026↗ x.com“$BTC I think we're still at support personally, volume profile shows this area should be a good spot for a bounce. If we lose 82k or something then I think it starts to get really nasty but for now, I think you can still expect to see some buying coming in soon”
His usual format: a support read from the volume profile, a bounce expected, and the invalidation written into the same post. BTC was $84,842 on the chart's 2 October point (the post went up at 20:02 UTC). The bounce came first — $86,490 (+1.9%) on 5 October — and then gave way: BTC sits at $82,940 (−2.2%) today, the low since the post, still above the 82k line he said would make it “really nasty”. Open, and close to its trigger.
𝕏 Post“If we lose 82k or something then I think it starts to get really nasty” — @AltcoinSherpa, 02 Oct 2026↗ x.com“$SOL $95 and then $120 after? This still goes higher as long as btc stays strong”
Two targets in order, a question mark, and his standing condition on Bitcoin. The chart's 21 August point is $87.65, taken before the post went up at 14:48 UTC — SOL was already moving that day and the next point is $93.69, so part of the first leg came before anyone could act on it. Bitcoin did stay strong, and both numbers printed in the order he gave them: $95.41 (+8.8%) on 24 August, then $122.08 (+39.3%) on 26 September. Nothing has closed below the anchor since; SOL holds $115.94 (+32.3%).
𝕏 Post“$SOL $95 and then $120 after?” — @AltcoinSherpa, 21 Aug 2026↗ x.com“$ETH I think this is going to go to like 2.4k if btc is stable”
A number and a condition, posted the day after his Bitcoin call. ETH was $1,902. Bitcoin did stay stable — it went up — and ETH cleared the target: it dipped only 3.1% to $1,843 on 2 August, then ran to $2,775 (+45.9%) on 22 September and sits at $2,571 (+35.2%). The 2.4k he named was tagged and passed.
𝕏 Post“$ETH I think this is going to go to like 2.4k” — @AltcoinSherpa, 21 Jul 2026↗ x.com“$BTC strong break of this area and we probably go to 73k but this is a pretty hard area to crack. PoC over the entire range and expecting some volatility around here. Probably not the best place to fire into new positions unless you're confident the breakout is coming”
The clearest conditional in the sample: break the point of control and 73k follows. BTC was $64,670. The break came, and it did not stop at his number — the low after the post was $62,773 (−2.9%) on 2 August, the high $86,597 (+33.9%) on 22 September, now $82,940 (+28.2%). Worth reading the second half of his own post against the first: the target was right, and his advice not to “fire into new positions” unless you were confident is the half that cost money.
𝕏 Post“strong break of this area and we probably go to 73k” — @AltcoinSherpa, 20 Jul 2026↗ x.com“$BTC lose 61k and I guess we teleport to 58k again quickly? Don't like this slow grinding price action honestly.”
A downside scenario with the trigger attached — and the trigger never fired. BTC was $63,747; the lowest close since is $62,279 (−2.3%) on 14 July, so 61k was never lost and the 58k retest he floated never happened. Price went the other way instead: $86,597 (+35.8%) at the high on 22 September, $82,940 (+30.1%) now. The level he named held exactly as support, so we do not score this against him — but the mood of the post was wrong, and it is logged open rather than correct.
𝕏 Post“lose 61k and I guess we teleport to 58k again quickly?” — @AltcoinSherpa, 13 Jul 2026↗ x.com“$BTC kind of weird stairs up price action, not really sure about this on low time frames. Wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of wick down and then recovery honestly.”
Not a target — a shape, and the tape drew it. From $64,111 BTC wicked down 2.9% to $62,279 three days later, then recovered exactly as described, running to $86,597 (+35.1%) by 22 September and holding $82,940 (+29.4%) today. He hedged it (“not really sure about this on low time frames”) and was right anyway.
𝕏 Post“Wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of wick down and then recovery” — @AltcoinSherpa, 11 Jul 2026↗ x.com“$BTC honestly looking ok for now on lower time frames as long as we see price holding above this area. I'm probably not going to feel safe until we cleanly break above 65k though on HTF charts. Still pretty unsure but support is still support”
The best-timed post in the sample, and he was openly unsure while making it. BTC closed $59,968 — the day after its $58,566 cycle low on 1 July — and nothing has closed lower since: the low after the post is the post's own day. Price has run to $86,597 (+44.4%) and sits at $82,940 (+38.3%). His 65k “feel safe” threshold was cleared within three weeks.
𝕏 Post“support is still support” — @AltcoinSherpa, 02 Jul 2026↗ x.com“$BTC I still think this looks ok for now”
Eleven days after the previous card he restated the same bullish lean in eight words, with BTC at $75,785. “For now” bought him another two weeks — BTC peaked at $82,018 (+8.2%) on 11 May — and then the floor went: BTC fell 22.7% to $58,566 by 1 July. The September recovery has since carried it to $86,597 (+14.3%) and it sits at $82,940 (+9.4%), so a holder is back above his entry — but only after riding out the whole drawdown first, and a post saying the chart looks fine, made six weeks before a 23% slide, still goes against him.
𝕏 Post“$BTC I still think this looks ok for now” — @AltcoinSherpa, 30 Apr 2026↗ x.com“$BTC 4h EMAs still look pretty good and really want to see continuation on this breakout. Mondays open should be pretty interesting and I'm still cautiously bullish”
He asked for continuation on a breakout and got three weeks of it before the whole thing unwound. BTC was $75,716; it added 8.3% to $82,018 by 11 May — the spring peak — then reversed into a 22.7% slide to $58,566 on 1 July. Bitcoin only got back above that May peak in September, reaching $86,597 (+14.4%) on 22 September, and sits at $82,940 (+9.5%) today. The breakout he wanted continuation on failed within three weeks; the higher price five months later came after the drawdown, not from it. The “cautiously” was doing real work, but the call was on the wrong side of the spring top.
𝕏 Post“I'm still cautiously bullish” — @AltcoinSherpa, 19 Apr 2026↗ x.com“Lots of these coins are ranging right near their highs. Breakout on BTC likely leads to the same here for these.”
He listed the coins coiled near their range highs — $HYPE, $MON, $NEAR — and made them a bet on Bitcoin breaking out. The Bitcoin part took three months longer than he implied, and NEAR first gave back 11.8% to $1.26 on 5 May. But the mechanism worked: from $1.43 NEAR ran to $5.39 (+276.5%) on 28 September and holds $5.38 (+275.6%). Right idea, wrong clock — and the drawdown in between was survivable.
𝕏 Post“Breakout on BTC likely leads to the same here for these” — @AltcoinSherpa, 17 Apr 2026↗ x.com“Majors look pretty bottomed, 1 month in this consolidation. Should move strongly as long as btc is stable”
Posted on 10 March — a day that has since rolled out of this chart's price window, so the chart now anchors at $2,072 on 13 March. He named $ETH, $BNB and $SOL and called the consolidation a bottom. It wasn't one: from the anchor ETH fell 24.4% to $1,566 by 26 June, and SOL fell 28.5% from $86.91 to $62.18 by 7 June. His own escape clause — “as long as btc is stable” — did fail, and that is the point: the whole call depended on a condition he could not check. Both have since recovered past it (ETH $2,571, +24.1%; SOL $115.94, +33.4% from the anchor), but anyone who bought his bottom sat through roughly a quarter of the price first. The verdict rests on the bottom he called, which the moving anchor cannot change.
𝕏 Post“Majors look pretty bottomed” — @AltcoinSherpa, 10 Mar 2026↗ x.com“always a bit iffy when there is this large of a gap between price and the 200ema; usually its better to see some compression first.”
Posted on 5 March — a day that has since rolled out of this chart's price window, so the chart now anchors at $70,417 on 13 March. Bitcoin had just run hard off its late-February lows, and his read was that the distance from the 200 EMA made the move fragile. The compression he wanted arrived: from the anchor BTC managed $74,679 (+6.1%) on 17 March and then fell to $65,947 (−6.3%) by 30 March, and the spring never broke out — the July low is $58,566 (−16.8%). Bitcoin only cleared that March range for good in September, reaching $86,597 (+23.0%), and sits at $82,940 (+17.8%) today. Five days later he called the majors bottomed (next card down), so read the two together.

The conflict that matters. On 6 October 2026 he disclosed holding call options on ETHA, BlackRock's spot-Ether ETF, in the same post as a bullish ETH read (card above) — a leveraged position in the asset he was talking up. He also posts the coins he is buying as he buys them — on 8 July 2026, mid-drawdown: “Looking to buy some dips on some coins like LIT but overall going to just watch since I'm traveling today”. A low-float altcoin named by a 250K-follower account moves before you can act on it, and he does not disclose position sizes.
