@TechDev_52
TechDev (@TechDev_52) is one of crypto's most-followed anonymous macro chartists: ~555,000 on X, a bi-weekly paid newsletter with over 38,000 subscribers, and a single insistent thesis — the halving explains nothing, the liquidity-weighted business cycle explains everything, and the parabolic leg arrives when that cycle lifts off its diagonal. His 2026 record is genuinely good: he flagged peak-oversold on the day of February's 14% collapse, named a $1,400–$1,600 band for Ethereum a day before it printed, and turned constructive 3.8% above the eventual low. Judged honestly, the same framework told him Bitcoin was “at a bottom, not a top” in October 2025 at around $100k, before a fall to $58,566. The model is early, and being early is its recurring cost. In October 2026 he named downside targets for the first time on this page, calling for Bitcoin to pull back to $70.5K–$72.5K and Ethereum to $2,100–$2,300.
The honest part of the record is the timing risk baked into a cycle model. On 10 October 2025 he wrote that Bitcoin was “at a bottom, not a top”; three weeks later he put the price himself at “BTC 100k, ETH 3k.” Bitcoin then fell to $58,566 on 1 July — roughly 41% below the level he cited. That call is outside the chartable window and is not scored below, but it belongs on the record next to the 2026 calls that worked.
Three calls this page used to chart have now rolled out of it, which is worth stating rather than quietly deleting. The price window is a rolling 210 days and it now opens on 10 March 2026; both February posts and one from early March fall before that line. On 5 February, with Bitcoin at $73,059, he wrote that the “Parabolic phase doesn't begin until it lifts off green and approaches yellow. That comes next.” The next day, into a 14% one-day collapse that closed Bitcoin at $62,778, he posted the best-timed line of his year — “Green circles = Peak oversold bottoms Red arrows = Max potential energy at business cycle lows” — within 6.7% of the eventual low at $58,566. On 4 March, with Bitcoin at $68,287, he posted “Why what most call ‘the cycle’ has yet to start. Still.” — literally right, since the up-leg only began in late August, but anyone holding on it sat through −14.2% to $58,566 first. All three statements are real and stay on the record here; they simply cannot be drawn against a 210-day chart any more, so they are no longer counted in the score.

Ten dated public statements inside the CoinGecko window, charted against real price. Three are X posts pulled twice from independent endpoints; seven are sentences from his newsletter — Market Update #98 and the 5 October brief, his two free 2026 posts, plus the preview text that sits publicly above the paywall on Issue #100, the 9 September brief and Issue #102. His in-window read is good: six played out, three still open, one went against — the 9 September caution that the local top might already be in, which he reversed himself twelve days later. Two caveats belong next to that number. The first is mechanical: the 210-day window now opens on 10 March 2026, so the three posts this page used to chart from February and early March — including the peak-oversold call he made into the 14% crash on 6 February, his best-timed line of the year — have rolled off the price data and are no longer scored. They are quoted in full in the background section above. The second is his own record: on 10 October 2025 he called Bitcoin “at a bottom, not a top” and put it at around $100k three weeks later; it bottomed at $58,566 on 1 July 2026, about 41% lower. Same model, badly early.
“Following the February playbook. $1400-$1600 Data and planning over emotion. Historic opportunity.”
The most falsifiable call in the set: a named band with a date attached. Ethereum was $1,769 when he posted, closed $1,582 the next day and bottomed at $1,566 on 26 June — both inside his $1,400–$1,600. It has since run +56.9% to the high and sits +54.1% above where he called it.
𝕏 Post“Historic opportunity. $ETH” — @TechDev_52↗ x.com“Stop comparing this correction to past bear markets. We're still mid-cycle. A significantly extended cycle. At the first bullish inflection since 2020.”
A contrarian bottom read made 3.8% above the lowest close of the entire window ($58,566 on 1 July). From $60,855 Bitcoin is +42.0%, having reached +42.3% at the high. Whether the market is genuinely “mid-cycle” is a multi-year claim we are not scoring; the near-term timing was excellent.
𝕏 Post“Stop comparing this correction to past bear markets” — @TechDev_52↗ x.com“From here I expect Bitcoin to surge into the low 70Ks and spend some time consolidating there, digest that move through another small consolidation, and then push into the 80Ks on the expansion that follows.”
Both destinations printed. From $64,796 Bitcoin reached the low 70Ks ($73,021 on 21 Aug) and pushed into the 80Ks ($80,268 on 28 Aug), then kept going to $86,597 on 22 Sep — +33.6% at the high, +33.4% today, and never more than −3.1% against him. The sequence he described did not happen though: price chopped in the low-to-mid 60Ks for five weeks, then covered the whole distance in nine days without consolidating in the 70Ks at all.
SourceMarket Update #98 — TechDev Newsletter (free issue)↗ techdev52.com“For Ethereum, $2800 to $3400 in the September to October window”
A dated waypoint from the roadmap — and the closest miss on the page. Ethereum ran from $1,862 to a $2,775 close on 22 September, +49.0% and just 0.9% under the bottom of his band; it is +46.4% today at $2,727 and needs another +2.7% to touch $2,800. The Bitcoin twin in the same sentence, “$94K to $98K in September to October,” peaked at $86,597 and still needs +8.7% from $86,440. September is gone and his own 5 October brief now expects Ethereum to double-top and retrace to $2,100–$2,300 rather than climb (card below) — so the author no longer expects his own band. It stays open until October ends, but the clock and the author are both against it.
SourceMarket Update #98 — the roadmap waypoints↗ techdev52.com“You are mid cycle. The longest cycle yet. The bull phase began last month. And crypto is now catching up.”
Posted on the first day of the breakout, at $69,291, and nothing has gone against it since: zero drawdown in six weeks, +25.0% to the high on 22 September, +24.7% today. The “mid cycle” half is a multi-year thesis and is not scored here — the near-term half was right immediately.
𝕏 Post“The bull phase began last month” — @TechDev_52↗ x.com“100 issues. And the market picked the week to make it count, because the breakout we have been positioning for since the June low finally landed, both majors closed green above their key Supertrends, and the whole sequence arrived on day 19 of the two to three week window published on August 1.”
The confirmation post — his 1 August two-to-three-week window landed on day 19, both majors closed above their Supertrends, and the sentence immediately after this quote tells subscribers to tune out the noise and lock in. Bitcoin was $77,081. It ran to $81,265 on 4 September, gave all of it back to a low of $75,590 on 16 September (−1.9%), then broke out to $86,597 on 22 September: +12.3% at the high, +12.1% today. Locking in through that shakeout paid. Issue #100 is a paid post — only the preview Substack renders publicly above the paywall is quoted here.
SourceMarket Update #100 — “Breakout Week” (public preview)↗ techdev52.com“Over the last few sessions I have started seeing short term signs that the local top we have been discussing for Ethereum and Bitcoin may already be in, printed at $2535 and $81.7K rather than in the zones I mapped. I do not know that yet.”
His first cautious call, and he hedged it himself — but it went the wrong way. Ethereum was $2,485; after one more dip to $2,397 (−3.5%) on 16 September it closed at $2,775 on 22 September, +11.7% and well above the $2,535 he named as the top, and it is +9.7% today. Bitcoin from $78,451 did the same: −3.6% at worst, then $86,597 (+10.4%), well past his $81.7K. On 21 September he said so himself — the bands broke up, so the top was “yet to be in” (card below). “I do not know that yet” makes this a hedge rather than a short, but read as a call the local top was not in.
SourceBrief Update — “Caution on the Ethereum Trades”↗ techdev52.com“Breaking down with expansion meant the local top was in. Breaking up with expansion meant it was yet to be in. We got the latter.”
The correction to his own 9 September caution, published at 00:48 UTC on 21 September: the 15–16 September breakdown was a fakeout, the bands broke up, so the local top was still ahead. Bitcoin was $81,169 at that day's 00:00 UTC point, 48 minutes before he posted, and never closed lower: the next day it printed $86,597, +6.7%, the high of the window, and it is +6.5% today. Credit for changing his mind fast and in public. Issue #102 is a paid post — only the preview Substack renders publicly above the paywall is quoted here.
SourceMarket Update #102 — “Short-term Roadmaps, Update on ETH Trades” (public preview)↗ techdev52.com“I still expect the pullback to roughly halfway up the breakout move, $70.5K to $72.5K.”
A bearish, levelled call — rare for him — posted at 03:05 UTC on 5 October in a free brief. He had mapped Bitcoin's local top at $83.5K–$85.5K; it overshot to $86,597 and he says he does not read that as a change. From $86,490 at that day's 00:00 UTC point his band needs −16.2% to −18.5%. Bitcoin is $86,440 today, −0.1%. Hours old — open, and no deadline given.
SourceBrief Update — “On Track: Ethereum Follows the Map, Bitcoin Runs a Little Hot” (free post)↗ techdev52.com“Nothing about the structure has changed, and next I expect is a double top in the green zone followed by the retrace to $2100 to $2300.”
The Ethereum half of the same brief. He says his $2,680–$2,880 local-top zone from Issue #102 caught the high — Ethereum closed at $2,775 on 22 September — and that it now needs a second top there before a retrace. From $2,726 at the 5 October 00:00 UTC point, $2,300 is −15.6% away and $2,100 is −23.0%. Ethereum is $2,727 today, +0.0%. He is also running leveraged-ETF trades on this map for members (sell ETHD near $45, buy ETHU near $20 at the low); that is his plan, not ours to grade. Open.
SourceBrief Update — the Ethereum swing map (free post)↗ techdev52.comOutcomes are our read of his stated bias against real price, not his own scoring. Prices are CoinGecko daily closes; where his own newsletter cites an intraday print we do not repeat it. Two cards share the 19 July source, and two the 5 October brief, because each contains separate Bitcoin and Ethereum forecasts. Issue #100, the 9 September brief and Issue #102 are paid posts: only the preview Substack renders publicly above the paywall is quoted, never anything behind it. Newsletter posts land at odd UTC hours and are charted on that day's 00:00 UTC price; each card says how far apart the two are. The “$1,000 invertidos en su señal” line on each card is buy-and-hold, so on his bearish calls (9 September, 5 October) it shows what holding would have done, not what his call would have made. His October waypoints ($94K–$98K on BTC, $2,800–$3,400 on ETH) resolve at month end, and his own 5 October brief now points the other way. The open marks can flip either way.

There is no video library to link. TechDev runs no YouTube channel, no podcast and no livestream — he is anonymous and publishes only two things: short charted posts on X, and a bi-weekly Market Update newsletter that is paywalled apart from the occasional free issue. That is exactly why every call above is a timestamped sentence rather than a clip, and why Market Update #98 — the one free full issue of 2026 — is the only newsletter quoted at length, alongside the free 5 October brief, with three later cards limited to the preview text Substack shows publicly above the paywall. His X account and the newsletter are both linked at the top of this page; the full verified corpus behind the chart is cited on each card.

Yes, and expensively. On 10 October 2025 he wrote that Bitcoin was “at a bottom, not a top,” and three weeks later put the price himself at “BTC 100k, ETH 3k.” Bitcoin then fell to $58,566 by 1 July 2026, about 41% lower. His 2026 calls inside our chart window read the February and June lows well; the one that went against him was a hedged 9 September warning that the local top might be in, which he reversed on 21 September. The model's failure mode is being early and staying early.
