Altcoin Daily's call on BTC for October 18, 2026: where the author expects the price to go and which levels matter. Other bloggers' calls are added here during the day. This is the author's opinion, not investment advice.
Michael Saylor put forward a number of bullish arguments for Bitcoin in the run-up to Q4 2026 during his remarks at Purify Capital’s investor day, according to the host of Altcoin Daily.
In the view of the MicroStrategy CEO, there are strong tailwinds in the form of tokenized securities and bank adoption. To make the case for institutional uptake accelerating, Saylor drew attention to the Bitcoin banking index climbing from 9 to 34 percent. He considers it a bullish indicator that $10 billion of credit on Bitcoin is equivalent to a year’s supply.
Technically speaking, the host observes Bitcoin testing its 50-week moving average; should that support hold, one can expect a move past $90,000. Then there is October, which has an average return of 26 percent over 16 years and is traditionally a good month for Bitcoin, not to mention the general sense of optimism. Saylor was not without his caveats, though: he spoke of the AI bubble and any restrictive policies as potential headwinds, and stressed the need for regulatory clarity if growth is to be maintained.
