CryptoJack: bitcoin must close above $82,200 to confirm bullish momentum

For Bitcoin to maintain its bullish tone, it must make a decisive break above the $82,200 resistance, says CryptoJack. A daily close above that level would be seen as a very bullish signal for the asset, he is quick to point out; in the absence of such confirmation, analysts have questions and the market picture remains uncertain.

The host at CryptoJack puts it this way: $82,200 is a make-or-break level. The uptrend can only be confirmed with a firm move above it. Should Bitcoin fail to break and hold above this level, he sees the possibility of some downside risk to the price in the near term.

Crypto World: sideways action expected as BTC tests $80,000-$82,000 support

This call: SOL ▼ down — partly played out

The host of Crypto World notes that Bitcoin is currently testing key support in the $80,000 to $82,000 area, and there is some bearish divergence present. No significant bullish momentum is expected for now; instead, the author anticipates some choppy sideways action in the near term.

On the three-day chart, Josh points out that Bitcoin has yet to make progress above the $80,000-$82,000 support zone as it cools off. Should that support fail, he cautions, further weakness in US equities could send BTC down to $70,000.

In the short term, there is little chance of a breakout on the bullish side. Josh expects continued weakness and sideways movement for a week or two. The outlook is cautious across the board for the major cryptos; Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Chainlink are all undergoing important tests of their own support levels.

Bitcoin Magazine: institutional demand for Bitcoin treasury products could drive BTC higher

Bitcoin treasury companies are coming to the fore and in the process exerting more influence on conventional bond markets, a development that may well presage greater demand for BTC, says Bitcoin Magazine. Richard Byworth of BYZ Partners, the firm’s managing partner, attributes this to the higher yields and innovative credit-like instruments these companies offer to attract institutional capital.

Then there is the matter of traditional banks which, as Byworth observes, have been reluctant to accept the rapid expansion of these newcomers. The co-founder of a Swiss Bitcoin treasury outfit and ex-investment banker has BYZ Partners focusing on investment strategies denominated in Bitcoin with low volatility; he views the treasury companies as a formidable opposition to the old fiat system.

One can see the impact on the global bond market, where around $15 billion has been put into novel products including perpetual preferred equity. Strive, a Bitcoin treasury company, made a single purchase equal to three times the weekly Bitcoin issuance, a testament to the kind of appetite institutions have and what it means for price appreciation. For his part, Byworth considers the market in its infancy. There is illogical pricing to be found and plenty of scope for capital to come in as adoption takes hold, whether in real estate or as a substitute for sovereign debt.

Crypto Commons: BTC may drop towards $80,000 amid BitGet exit from Russia and Kazakhstan

BitGet’s decision to pull out of Russia and Kazakhstan is likely to exert further pressure on the Bitcoin market, as put forward by the Crypto Commons channel.

The exchange, which ranks sixth in spot and derivatives volume, has made it clear it will be ending its operations in those two countries. Users have been given a 72-hour window to close any positions and make their withdrawals; once that time is up, access to accounts will be restricted and any remaining positions will be liquidated. BitGet says the move is dictated by regulatory demands in other parts of the world.

In the view of Crypto Commons, such an abrupt departure presents risks to traders in the region and is a recipe for more volatility. With Bitcoin in a daily downtrend and the prospect of a slide below $80,000, one would do well to keep assets on the books of a name like Bybit, MEXC, or Bitunix and ensure that portfolios are diversified given the uncertainty.

Anthony Pompliano: BTC targets growth by year-end, boosted by AI sector recovery

▲ Long · 16:17 · Watch the video

Anthony Pompliano652K subscribers · few checked calls yet

Anthony Pompliano sees Bitcoin set to move higher, its growth inextricably linked to how the AI and computing power industries fare. In his view, the AI sector and the firms behind the requisite computing power are in for a period of considerable expansion over the coming three years.

With artificial intelligence growing in importance, there will be more demand for the infrastructure that underpins it, something Pompliano thinks will benefit stocks in the space and Bitcoin alike. The analyst is of the opinion that a rebound in AI should put upward pressure on Bitcoin; he would not be surprised to see that begin in as little as three months. All told, Pompliano expects strong performances from BTC and AI before the year is out. Then there is tokenization, which he suggests as a way to add liquidity to the crypto markets, while any deflation or debt reduction brought about by AI will only strengthen the long-term case for Bitcoin.

Krown: golden Cross points to potential medium-term gains after consolidation

In Krown’s view, what one sees in Bitcoin’s present Golden Cross closely reflects how it has performed in the past. The strategy hinging on the 50-day and 200-day moving averages crossing over seems to suggest a return pattern similar to previous cycles.

Krown observes that the recent Golden Cross has produced median historical returns that are almost the same, especially in the last 10 days. An analysis shows that once the Golden Cross is in place, any significant median gains tend to appear after about 40 days.

However, Krown cautions against short-term volatility even if the medium-term picture is consistent with previous patterns. He points out that a bear market could persist until there is an actual crossover of the 50- and 200-day moving averages. And while the Golden Cross is usually followed by better returns, as history shows, the timing of those returns remains uncertain.

The Modern Investor: BTC targets $100,000 as crypto market eyes new all-time highs by January

▲ Long · 12:06 · Watch the video

The Modern Investor254K subscribers · few checked calls yet

The Modern Investor has the crypto market set for all-time highs in January 2024 on the back of institutional accumulation and a rekindling of interest from retail investors. But as the bull market cycle plays out, it is going to be an ordeal for some who come to terms with the profits left on the table, the channel points out.

There is plenty of fresh capital and enthusiasm, with the channel’s analysts putting Bitcoin at $100,000 and XRP at $32. The numbers bear this out: there is a spike in searches for how to buy crypto and institutions are making active purchases that could create a supply shortage and push prices up. New ETFs and the token burn Polygon has planned are further catalysts. And while an external economic crisis or a downturn in the market would bring its share of volatility, the expert opines that in the end cryptocurrencies will be better for it, provided retail activity picks up over the next few months.

Crypto Rover: breakout from falling wedge could target $87,400 for Bitcoin

Bitcoin could be on the verge of breaking out of its falling wedge pattern and making a run at $87,400 in the not too distant future, says Crypto Rover.

The analyst sees the asset in a state of compression, which he takes as an indication of an impending exit from the formation. In Crypto Rover’s view, such a configuration could result in a 7 percent rally from current levels, putting $87,400 within reach. With the charts showing buying pressure outweighing selling, he has his eye on the $79,000 mark as a potential entry point for going long.

On the other hand, a move below $62,300 would put a bearish spin on things, opening up downside to between $40,000 and $45,000. He puts stock in the 50-day moving average for support and is mindful of the institutional selling that has been picking up, similar to what was seen in past bear markets.

Altcoin Daily: possible drop to $10,000 despite ETP inflows and regulatory relief

Bitcoin might well see a reversion to $10,000, is the view of the Altcoin Daily host, notwithstanding the good regulatory news and what have been robust inflows for Bitcoin ETPs.

There is no mistaking the institutional appetite for the asset: since January 2024 these ETPs have brought in almost $60 billion in assets, the analyst notes, all while tech stocks are under pressure from headwinds. One can add to that some welcome developments on the regulatory front, with the crypto world pleased when the US Treasury did away with two of its more contentious proposals.

And yet the channel puts forward an expert’s forecast of a return to the $10,000 mark for Bitcoin, something of a signal for those in the market. Oil at $110 a barrel is only one source of the instability afflicting global markets and the slide in tech equities; Willy Woo of the on-chain experts argues that Bitcoin has already put its correction behind it and stands more resilient than the stock market. But then again, the prevailing sentiment is for a bearish BTC over the coming weeks.

Bitcoin Magazine: bitcoin forecasted to hit $175K in 12 months on surging institutional demand

▲ Long · 00:27 · Watch the video

Bitcoin Magazine261K subscribers · few checked calls yet

Bitcoin is poised to reach $175,000 in the coming year on the back of solid demand, says Brian Vieten of Siebert Financial. The Research Analyst contends that with the supply side no longer exerting the kind of pressure it did when Bitcoin hit a low of $58,000 last June, the conditions are right for a fresh period of growth.

Vieten sees the next bull run being propelled by such entities as miners and exchanges, not to mention lending platforms and digital asset treasuries (DATs). In his view, the digital asset space has become a more transparent and secure place to be. The big exchanges can be relied upon, DATs present little in the way of collateral risk, and lending platforms are sturdier; JP Morgan is one of the banks that has put its stamp of approval on Bitcoin as collateral.

Then there are the ETFs, which continue to see healthy inflows, and MicroStrategy among the better-capitalized DATs. With regulatory moves on the horizon like the Genius Act, Vieten expects an upturn in institutional demand via stablecoins and tokenized assets.
