Crypto Love: potential bottom at $77,000 as Bitcoin resists market chaos

This call: BTC ▲ up — being checked by price until Dec 1

There is an argument to be made that Bitcoin’s resilience at $77,000 in the face of recent market turbulence is indicative of a bottom, says the host of Crypto Love.

The analyst notes that two years of hard times could be giving way to a recovery; after all, one would expect average returns of 35% from Bitcoin in November based on history. Market strength is evidenced by the fact that even the Binance hack, a record $6.3 billion and the biggest in crypto to date, did not move the price of Bitcoin much.

As for the aftermath of such exchange hacks, Crypto Love observes that Bitcoin has a way of climbing, putting up 1.3% in a month and 5.7% over three months on average. The host also considers the 30 reading on the Fear & Greed Index to be something of a buy signal. Then there are the technicals: the 50-week moving average and 155-day realized price are showing the same kind of patterns as prior cycle bottoms.

On top of that, MACD signals for the crypto market as a whole hint at a breakout from the downtrend and a new period of growth. In the end, the analyst sees large players making their moves to put in buy orders and Bitcoin as undervalued where it stands. Long-term models have the price at $1 million in 2036 and a market cap to eclipse gold come 2038.

The host of The Moon Show reports that the trader has taken on leveraged positions in Bitcoin and a number of altcoins, betting on further growth in the crypto market.

In a display of confidence in BTC’s upward trajectory, the trader has opened a $340,000 long position on the asset with 30x leverage. He has also initiated new leveraged trades on altcoins following recent price movements: 20x on WXT (an additional $5,000) and SPX, and 40x on AVAX for $50,000, all aiming for further gains.

Regarding risk management amid volatility, the host of The Moon Show recommends using stop-loss orders, especially with cross-margin and high leverage. The trader is a proponent of the Weeks platform for his crypto trading due to the VIP access and bonuses it offers to new users.

Bitcoin Magazine: BTC could challenge global reserve currencies if it grows 5x

Bitwise’s Andre Dragos, who heads up European Research, sees the possibility of Bitcoin making inroads as a global reserve currency should its market cap see a fivefold expansion, according to Bitcoin Magazine.

In Dragos’ view, such an increase in price would put Bitcoin’s valuation at around $10 trillion, making it equal to other preeminent reserve assets. The process might be hastened by the kinds of risks that are mounting in conventional markets and endangering the eurozone, from political instability to the French government’s growing debt.

There is also the issue of hyperscalers and any industry that depends on external capital being pressured by more stringent financial conditions. A setback for AI, he foresees, could diminish the dollar and make Bitcoin even more attractive as a safe haven. With firms like MicroStrategy already putting up Bitcoin as collateral, Dragos points out that any decline in confidence in the dollar will only serve to cement the cryptocurrency as an alternative store of value and potentially a reserve asset for the world.

The Modern Investor: bitcoin could reach $800,000 if it rivals gold as a global reserve asset

Mark Yusko, who is at the helm of The Modern Investor and founded Morgan Creek Capital Management, has put forward a forecast for Bitcoin to multiply 8 or 10 times in the years ahead. Should it make inroads as a world reserve asset on par with gold, he sees no reason why it could not reach $800,000.

In Yusko’s view, the cryptocurrency will displace gold in the global financial order, its market capitalization swelling to $15 trillion. He points to the likes of Strive as an example of the institutional interest that is building; the firm’s purchase of some 6,000 BTC has brought its total to 43,000.

Then there is the matter of the big banks and payment companies making greater use of crypto, something the host draws attention to. Visa and Mesh have made it possible to spend crypto at 175 million merchants, and Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank are set to introduce their own trading platforms before 2027. Demand appears to be on the rise and the long-term outlook is bullish, if one looks at the 250,000 BTC that large investors have put on the books in the last 12 weeks alone.

Crypto Casey: bullish trend persists as long as BTC holds above $66,000

Crypto Casey maintains that Bitcoin is still in a bullish trend despite the recent sideways movement. The host of the channel highlights macro events and the current market structure as key factors for the weeks ahead.

In his view, the markets are no longer weighed down by the kind of uncertainty that last week’s Federal Reserve 3.75-4 percent rate decision might have caused, and this has helped support Bitcoin’s bullishness. As long as BTC does not fall below $66,000, he sees no reason for the bullish outlook to fade.

There will be some caution from investors ahead of the November elections, but Crypto Casey anticipates a rally afterward, as the S&P 500 has shown in similar situations in the past. He also points to a couple of encouraging developments: Ripple getting approval for its national bank and $442 million flowing into crypto ETFs over the past week, both of which bode well for adoption. However, a 25 basis point hike at the Fed’s December 9 meeting could bring some volatility. For now, as long as key support holds for BTC, the outlook remains positive.

Benjamin Cowen: potential drop to $40,000 amid midterm year and historical patterns

Benjamin Cowen sees the possibility of a substantial correction in Bitcoin down to $40,000, given the current market conditions and historical patterns.

With the cryptocurrency near $77,000, Cowen says a retreat to the $40,000 support level is possible if one follows the playbook of past midterm election years. In previous election cycles, a 20% drop was not uncommon after the first rate hike had been implemented, something he thinks could happen this year.

The analyst draws an analogy with precious metals: if gold delivers a flat performance, Bitcoin could behave like silver has during its long, drawn-out corrections and recoveries. Cowen also notes there is precedent for price declines after major AI IPOs. He reminds us that Bitcoin has often corrected in Q1, summer, or Q4 of an election year. Overall, the current market structure suggests that a recovery will likely be preceded by a more prolonged downturn, he cautions.
