Altcoin Buzz: StarkNet’s L1 Move and STRK Outlook, ENA Price Prediction

With the StarkNet L1 move, the project and its STRK token could see their future redefined. Altcoin Buzz reports that a transition to an independent L1 network from Ethereum L2 could spark some price action in the market, provided technical obstacles are set aside.

Why StarkNet’s L1 Ambitions Matter

In what is a bold objective for 2027, StarkNet aims to be the first quantum-resistant network of its kind, says Altcoin Buzz. Currently, the rapid progress of quantum computing leaves the private keys and security of many blockchain infrastructures exposed. StarkNet’s efforts in this area make it something of a pioneer on the security front, no doubt appealing to investors and developers who want to future-proof their digital assets. And as an L1, there will be less need to depend on the Ethereum L2 ecosystem for development and security standards.

STRK Price Reaction and Token Unlocking

The market has been bullish on where the project is headed; when the L1 switch was announced at Token 49 in Singapore on Oct. 8, STRK was up 40% in a day, per Altcoin Buzz. One should not expect an easy road to a full L1 launch though, with plenty of testing and technical issues to be resolved.

For an ecosystem so young, $160 million in total value locked is no small figure for StarkNet. Yet 62 percent of STRK tokens are locked and will be made available in stages through 2027, which according to Altcoin Buzz may bring some volatility to the price as supply increases.

ENA’s Price Prediction and Other Market Highlights

Elsewhere, Altcoin Buzz has turned its attention to ENA, the Athena stablecoin. Standard Chartered has put Athena on its watchlist with a view to ENA hitting $2 in 2028, a 7 or 8 times rise from today’s figures, assuming the stablecoin can hold its ground in the market.

There is much innovation and competition among the big names in blockchain. ICP (Internet Computer Protocol) is seeing a lot of developer activity alongside a weekly average transaction fee at a record low of $0.0000267. Then there is NEAR: after launching an ETF on NYSE ARCA, its TVL has risen from $88 to $388 million in the space of a few months.
