Revolut Obtains MiCA License in Cyprus for EU Crypto Services

Revolut has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license in Cyprus, marking a significant milestone in the fintech company’s expansion of regulated cryptocurrency services throughout the European Union.

The MiCA license enables Revolut to offer comprehensive crypto-asset services across all EU member states under a unified regulatory framework. This authorization allows the company to provide services including crypto trading, custody, and other digital asset operations while maintaining compliance with the bloc’s new cryptocurrency regulations that took effect in 2024.

The Cyprus-issued license represents Revolut’s strategic move to strengthen its position in the European crypto market. With MiCA compliance, the company can now serve its millions of European customers with enhanced regulatory certainty and expanded crypto offerings across the 27-nation bloc.
