Tom Lee Predicts Bullish Market After Midterms

Investors are taking note of Tom Lee’s bullish market call in the wake of the midterms. Lee puts forward the case for a crypto upturn by pointing to historical precedent; his view is that one can expect the market to recover in the 12 months after an election, and this has engendered some optimism.

Historical Market Rebounds After Midterms

Lee maintains that there has not been a midterm since 1946 without the market performing well in the following year. In fact, he says the average gain is 14.4 percent, with some of the best years seeing as much as 34% growth. He attributes such numbers to the certainty an election provides, something that puts investors at ease and makes risk assets like cryptocurrencies more appealing.

Crypto Recovery and Bullish Outlook

As for the crypto market, Tom Lee says it has come off its recent lows and is on the mend, perhaps at the beginning of the most bullish phase we have seen. He has a good word for Bitcoin in particular, forecasting 2027 to be a strong year for it as it might once again correlate with global liquidity. Post-midterms, the confidence and economic stability should help the sector grow further.

Macro Factors and Investor Considerations

Then there is the matter of inflation coming down and employment holding steady, which makes any further rate hikes from the Fed unlikely, a boon to both the crypto and conventional markets. But Lee advises investors to monitor oil and diesel costs; a sharp rise in those could undo the progress on inflation and change the mood in the market. It is a macroeconomic consideration he thinks ought to be on the radar when dealing with the post-midterms environment.
