CryptoJack: key $82,000 level to determine Bitcoin’s next major move
Bitcoin is at a make-or-break point in the weeks ahead as it nears $82,000, says CryptoJack. The host of the channel issues a warning: should the price fail to surpass this figure, the rest of the crypto market could suffer as a result.
In his view, the weekly chart for Bitcoin looks perilous and he regards the $82,000 mark as key support. What was once resistance is now being tested, and if it can no longer hold, further downside should be expected.
CryptoJack has an open position from $86,900 that is in profit, yet he is quick to point out that any inability by BTC to hold its ground above $82,000 this week would be problematic for the coin and altcoins alike, not to mention overall sentiment. It is a test of sorts, one that will have a bearing on how things play out for crypto in the time to come.
Incrypted: large investors accumulate BTC as funds see outflows, eyeing key support at $82,000
Incrypted reports that major investors have been in no hurry to miss a Bitcoin dip, even with the sizeable outflows being seen from US crypto funds. Their analysts attribute this to big players accumulating and increasing their positions to levels not seen in six months.
The numbers bear this out: in just five trading sessions, US crypto funds are down some $550 million. Still, over the course of the last month, wallets in the 10,000 to 100,000 BTC range have accumulated close to 89,000 BTC, bringing reserves to 13.7 million coins, a six-month high. This indicates large investors’ confidence at a time when retail sentiment appears more bearish.
As for what is in store by the end of the month, market makers’ analysts see two possibilities. A move past $87,000 would validate the bullish outlook; a fall below the $82,000 support level could risk a slide to $70,000. Incrypted also points to the Fed meeting on October 28th and the US midterms as potential catalysts for the next big move. While there is fear on social media, the channel observes that institutional buyers are methodically buying the dip, leaving emotional responses to the retail side.
Coin Bureau: key support at $80,400; risk of drop to $76,000 if broken
The next move for Bitcoin will hinge on what transpires around $80,400, says Coin Bureau. The analyst has issued a word of caution: should the price close below that level, a more pronounced correction is to be expected.
In fact, a close below the $80,400 support would open the door for a slide down to $76,000, according to Coin Bureau. Upward momentum is being made more difficult by selling pressure from a new order block in the $81,200 to $82,000 range. There is also the issue of a bearish crossover of the 4-hour EMA, or ‘death cross’, which points to greater downside risk.
To get back to an $85,000 rally, BTC has to overcome the current order block and other technical barriers. The analyst draws attention to fresh order zones appearing on the lower timeframes; without a swift reclamation of those by the price, sellers could remain in control. A full update on the situation will be given by Coin Bureau on Trading Bureau Live at 1pm London time.
Crypto Crew University: key market shifts expected around 2028 Bitcoin halving event
The host of Crypto Crew University foresees the April 2028 Bitcoin halving as a possible catalyst for major shifts in the crypto market. In his view, there are two windows of opportunity to build a BTC position before any big moves, as proven by history.
An analyst would tell you that it is wise to buy in either 500 days before the next halving or 950 days after the last; the returns have been strong. Past cycles support this: in February 2016 and May 2020, 500 days before the event, or 950 days after in December 2022 and February 2015, such acquisitions were profitable.
He observes that a bullish trend usually has two phases when a halving occurs, and one can expect the pattern to continue. But the expert adds a word of caution: if the mathematical model of the halving does not play out, it may indicate a new direction in how Bitcoin evolves. Given what is at stake with the 2028 halving, he advises investors to be prepared for whatever the market brings.
The Modern Investor: whale accumulation signals confidence in future BTC price growth
The Modern Investor reports that the biggest Bitcoin holders are not deterred by the recent price headwinds and have been accumulating BTC in sizeable quantities, a move that signals confidence in an eventual rebound.
In fact, over a period of three months, these so-called whales have added 243,000 BTC, or about $20 billion, to their wallets, to the extent that the analyst at The Modern Investor sees this as evidence of strong conviction in Bitcoin’s long-term growth, even as the market remains volatile.
Should things continue on their present course, the channel’s expert suggests that one million more BTC may end up in the whales’ coffers before the year is out. There is a similar pattern of accumulation with XRP and Ethereum as well, which the analyst sees as indicative of investor faith in major cryptocurrencies more generally. In the expert’s view, assets such as Bitcoin will eventually overcome any short-term price difficulties and prove to be a safe haven; those who have the patience to hold will be amply rewarded when prices recover.
Crypto Rover: key $19,000 support could trigger upward move amid volatility risks
Crypto Rover has Bitcoin at the cusp of $19,000 support, a level that may well prove pivotal in the run-up to the Fed’s decision and the US midterms.
A hidden bullish divergence is evident on the daily chart for Bitcoin, says Crypto Rover; while there is more selling pressure, price lows are higher. On the weekly time frame, one can see it is being held by the solid $19,000 support, an area of considerable liquidity from which a strong move to the upside could be made.
The analyst points to the prospect of greater volatility stemming from the Fed rate decision and its press conference, not least because they will take place during the typically unsettled time of the US midterm elections. Should a bounce occur, $20,200 to $20,600 would present resistance. But any slip under $18,000 should be met with caution as it paves the way to $15,000. Then again, the technicals have the post-election period looking like a bottom for Bitcoin and a chance for more gains.
The Moon Show: targeting $111,000 after inverse head and shoulders formation
The Moon Show believes that Bitcoin is in a position to stage a strong rally to $111,000, having formed a bullish technical pattern around $66,700.
The worst case would be a notable pullback to $66,700, says the analyst, but from there an inverse head and shoulders could form, which is one of the most powerful bullish indicators. Should such a structure develop, The Moon Show sees no reason why Bitcoin could not reach $111,000. Current technicals are sufficient to put $111,000 on the table as a target, with the EMA ribbon chart being a favorite tool for gauging where the crypto is headed. In short, reaching $66,700 is when the outlook becomes positive.
The Moon Show: bearish divergence confirmed, potential drop to $75,000 expected
The Moon Show notes that a key support line for Bitcoin is gone, and with it, a bearish divergence has been resolved. The host of the program expects the price to decline further, possibly as low as $75,000 in order to trigger stop-losses.
It was of particular interest to traders when Bitcoin quickly broke through an important blue support level, as the show describes it. For those who had taken long positions above the line expecting a rebound, the fact that it has closed below this level day after day has only served to confirm the bearish outlook.
In the analyst’s view, there is likely more downside ahead, and he would not be surprised to see it head toward the $75,000 area, where a concentration of stop-loss orders may be triggered. A bounce could follow this move, which is typical of a liquidity grab. However, in the near term, there could be additional selling pressure from the volume of stop-losses expected to be hit in the $74,000 to $75,000 region.
Altcoin Daily: bitcoin projected to hit $100,000 within 12 months before revisiting $57,000
The host of Altcoin Daily puts forward the view that Bitcoin is on course for $100,000 in the next year and then could see a reversion to $57,000. The analyst’s long-term prognosis for crypto is robust, negative sentiment notwithstanding.
In his forecast, the Altcoin Daily analyst sees Bitcoin making its way up to $100,000 in the coming 12 months before a correction of some magnitude to the $57,000 mark. One might call the market mood thoroughly negative; an expert at Bitwise claims that traders are fixated on short-term risks and not the bullishness of the larger trend, even as Bitcoin has been above $57,000 for the last seven months.
There are also positive signs for the industry in the form of regulatory approvals: the OCC has given its approval to Ripple’s National Trust Bank, and Robinhood has established a partnership with Ripple to make greater use of stablecoins. As for Sean Hagen of the analysts, he points to Bitcoin being 5 percent above its 50-week moving average as evidence that a bull market is underway. Should Bitcoin reach $125,000, the numbers indicate Ethereum may well top out at $10,000 and outperform Bitcoin in the process.
