The Moon Show: targeting $450,000 for Bitcoin in the next cycle based on historical patterns
Historical precedent suggests to the host of The Moon Show that a $450,000 price tag for Bitcoin is not out of the question in the coming market cycle.
The analyst has his eye on the cyclical behavior of Bitcoin’s price since 2018 and the way the chart has set up for rallies time and again. One can see from past cycles how the asset has gained 600% or more once it overcomes resistance; that is what underpins such an audacious forecast.
Confident as he is, the trader is offloading cars and other personal holdings in order to put money into Bitcoin when the market softens. He speaks of a $300,000 Ethereum position that has worked well for him and intends to make a $50,000 play on Bitcoin with 200x leverage. As for where to do it, he suggests using Wix, a platform that does away with KYC requirements and has plenty of assets. He is even extending an invitation to his audience to join him at a Wix Mobile racing event in Barcelona for some trading advice.
The Modern Investor: bitcoin projected to hit $1 million by 2030 amid rising crypto adoption
The Modern Investor reports that top industry executives and analysts believe Bitcoin is on track to hit $1 million by 2030, a figure that reflects the level of institutional interest and disruption of conventional finance one would expect.
One need only look at the forecasts put forward by Calamos Investments or Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, as the host does, to find projections for Bitcoin to reach that milestone in as little as three years. Such an optimistic view is based on greater adoption; Wells Fargo is among the big banks exploring the issuance of stablecoins, and Ripple is making progress with blockchain integration for financial institutions.
Then there is the resilience of the crypto market as a whole, which The Modern Investor highlights, even in the face of turmoil elsewhere in the financial world. Growth is being driven by developments such as Grayscale’s $20 million Solana ETF acquisition and the prospect of tokenized assets swelling to between $3 and $10 trillion before 2030. In the author’s estimation, the pace at which fiat currencies are being left behind may become a destabilizing force for the traditional system.
Crypto Rover: key support at $81,186; resistance at $84,800 amid market volatility
Bitcoin is rebounding from a dip attributed to Iran-U.S. tensions, though one should not lose sight of the cautious outlook, says the host of Crypto Rover. The analyst has issued a warning: any close below $81,186 would indicate further bearishness.
That figure is a support level of some importance to Crypto Rover, and it was put to the test in Bitcoin’s latest recovery. If the price were to fall below it, $79,000 is the next point of support. There is no shortage of buying interest around $80,000, the expert observes, while resistance will likely be found at around $84,800.
With U.S. elections on the horizon, the analyst foresees a good deal of volatility in the coming 12 days. Liquidity charts indicate most of it is above current levels, which could see the market make a sharp move in either direction. Yet for all the near-term uncertainty, Crypto Rover remains confident in an upward trend for Bitcoin over the long term and will not hesitate to open new positions when the opportunity arises.
VirtualBacon: bitcoin positioned as a top asset amid inflation and rate hikes
Nick Baccarin of VirtualBacon sees Bitcoin as an asset that can come to the fore in the current macro climate despite its volatility, much like gold did in the 1970s.
The CoinBureau co-founder and CEO argues that what we are seeing in the crypto market now is similar to the 1970s, with high inflation and rising interest rates. With government debt increasing and the prospect of financial repression, Baccarin believes Bitcoin is well positioned to become a principal store of value.
He attributes this to broader macroeconomic forces, not just trends within the crypto world, if the current Bitcoin cycle lasts longer than the usual four-year run. As a hedge against instability in the markets, the VirtualBacon host suggests allocating a significant portion of a portfolio to Bitcoin, though he is quick to stress the importance of diversifying with real estate and other traditional assets as well.
CryptoWendyO: strong ETF inflows and bullish hash rate signal institutional confidence
Bitcoin is still the object of considerable institutional interest, with $1.07 billion in ETF inflows over the week to show for it, says CryptoWendyO. The analyst sees good signs for BTC even as the crypto world faces cybersecurity worries.
In CryptoWendyO’s view, the kind of demand from institutions that has driven up Bitcoin ETF inflows recently will keep the asset on an upward trajectory. A rising hash rate is another bullish indicator, which she attributes to a more secure network.
Then there are the cybersecurity issues, not least the bug in the XRP Ledger upgrade. But CryptoWendyO is quick to put any fears to rest, making it clear the XRP matter has nothing to do with ETFs. Should Bitcoin dip under $81,000, a move to $70,000 might be worth considering as a buying opportunity. With recent regulatory moves in the sector and solid fundamentals behind it, the analyst maintains a positive perspective on BTC.
VirtualBacon: BTC aims for $90,000 by year-end, new ATH likely in 2027
VirtualBacon sees Bitcoin in the early stages of an upswing and has set 2027 as the date for its next all-time high, though not until after the second half of next year.
The analyst’s view is that BTC will reach $90,000 by year end, but then undergo a significant correction for a month or two. Such a pullback should clear the path for another leg up and possibly an ATH in the first half of the following year.
As for the third rally, the one with the most momentum, VirtualBacon does not expect it to begin before late next year at the earliest, if not 2028, as Bitcoin aims for the $130,000 to $170,000 range. The outlook for an altcoin season is less certain and will be dictated by what Bitcoin does. For those looking to position in altcoins, the time to do so would be when BTC settles at its 50-week EMA; in the past, that has been a level where the crypto market as a whole has found a good bounce.
VirtualBacon: BTC uptrend signals prime opportunity for altcoin entry
VirtualBacon would have one believe the market is offering a prime chance to put money into altcoins this year, given the strong uptrend in Bitcoin and the prospect of further gains.
The analyst notes that for the period from 17 August to 28 September, altcoins performed better than Bitcoin, yet any advantage they had has for the most part been wiped out. Altcoin dominance has receded to where it was in mid-August, but with Bitcoin emerging from its correction, the waters are calmer for investment.
In VirtualBacon’s view, the correction that ran from 25 September through 19 October is a thing of the past. It makes for an ideal time to get into altcoins, and is less of a risk than it was during the rallies of late summer. DOGE and XRP are singled out for their appealing levels in the wake of the correction. All in all, the upward trajectory of Bitcoin means there are few better times this year to consider some altcoin exposure.
Lark Davis: monthly MACD crossover signals start of new bullish phase for Bitcoin
The monthly MACD for Bitcoin is in the midst of a rare bullish crossover, a sign that has historically preceded significant rallies in the crypto market, says Lark Davis.
Davis puts the matter in perspective: over the course of eleven years, there have been just three such crossovers on the monthly chart for Bitcoin, and each has been accompanied by dramatic price moves. In 2016, one was followed by a 3,500% run-up, then 615% in 2019, and 296% in 2023. These are powerful signals, and very rare, typically indicating a marked change in the market trend.
From the $58,000 mark, Bitcoin has gained more than 40% since the last time the MACD turned bullish in 2023. There is talk in the crypto community of capital flowing back into Bitcoin, which could signal the start of another growth period, according to Davis. The fact that U.S. bank-linked platforms have now made crypto trading legal is also presenting new options for investors. And when the crossover is confirmed, Davis foresees it may set off an altcoin rally with gains of up to 300%; many analysts think the trend will see altcoins outperform Bitcoin.
