Crypto Rover: key $78,000 level in focus as Bitcoin tests major resistance
Bitcoin is up against some stiff resistance in the $78,000 area of late, a level that has been support in the past, says Crypto Rover. The trader emphasizes that for a breakout of the falling wedge pattern to occur, the daily fair value level must first be surpassed.
While a breakout from that pattern was confirmed by Bitcoin yesterday, the $78,000 mark is being treated as an important zone of resistance by Crypto Rover. It is once again standing in the way of any gains after having been a reliable source of support. On the four-hour time frame, the asset is putting this to the test; should it hold, the area could be turned back into support.
In the view of the trader, holding at $78,000 would be bullish enough to warrant opening a new position, and he is prepared to do so if Bitcoin returns to it. Resistance is present, but the support visible under Bitcoin is greater, pointing to further upside. There is no sign of aggressive shorting with the funding rate running below neutral, yet the author suggests waiting for a more pronounced pullback to $78,000 before becoming too active. For his part, Crypto Rover does not interpret the present price structure as bearish but rather as a recovery, with a retest of resistance in store for Bitcoin before any substantial move to the downside.
CryptoJack: breakout and retest signal potential BTC recovery amid lower volatility
Bitcoin has broken out and then retested an important support level, opening the way for more of a recovery, says the host of CryptoJack. The author is also quick to point out the marked decline in Bitcoin’s volatility over the last five years.
In the analyst’s view, the fact that Bitcoin broke through a support level we have discussed before, only to come back and retest it, is typically a sign of bullishness. Volatility has been reduced from 81 percent down to 43 percent over the course of five years, making the asset less dramatic for investors, and one might expect steadier participation as a result.
For his part, the host of CryptoJack has just closed an $87,000 short position and is considering a long on Coinbase. He has a cautiously optimistic stance on BTC even with the large unlocks coming up for such altcoins as Aikido Games and Layer Zero, which will put some pressure on them. Then there is JP Morgan’s figure of $50 billion having already made its way into crypto markets this year, which bodes well for the fourth quarter.
CryptoJack: bitcoin enters new four-year bull cycle after accumulation breakout
Mike Mapleson, the Global Macro Director at Fidelity, has put forward the view that Bitcoin is entering a new four-year bull market based on power law patterns, as reported by CryptoJack’s host.
In a chart he released recently, Mapleson shows Bitcoin in a phase of accumulation following a period of distribution, which is what one would expect to see at the start of a bull cycle. His bullish outlook is supported by the fact that such power law patterns have characterized previous major uptrends.
There are also the top altcoins; the analyst anticipates rallies for Ethereum and Solana among others. Mapleson is the first to admit that a bull market does not always come with a clear narrative when it begins, but he encourages investors to review the chart data themselves before making any decisions regarding Bitcoin or the leading altcoins.
The Moon Show: maintains $3M BTC long, aiming for further gains with high leverage
The host of The Moon Show has stated that a trader is sitting on a $3 million long position in Bitcoin, entered at the market bottom, with no intention of closing it any time soon. The trader is confident that he will not be liquidated.
In fact, he has left his Bitcoin long untouched since making the entry, a testament to his conviction in the asset’s resilience and what he sees as its long-term upside. It is a bold way of trading, one that does not shy away from risk; he is using 20x leverage on both Solana and Bitcoin.
Aiming to match the $270,000 his last Ethereum weekly position earned him, the trader is undaunted by the risks of high leverage and expects to see continued profits. He has every intention of keeping his Ethereum trade open, reflecting the optimism he has for the rest of his portfolio.
Krown: potential bounce to $85,250 if key support holds in next 10 days
Krown sees a 62% chance of Bitcoin reaching $85,250 in the coming 10 days as it regains upward momentum. The catalyst for this upside and an average 5% return is the re-convergence of the 10-day chart with the red 5-day EMA, Krown notes; should that occur ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting, $85,250 is a price point within reach.
There is also a 79% likelihood of a monthly rally with a median 14.5% return, the analyst says, given the critical zone on the stochastic oscillator. But Krown cautions that a move below $79,700 would see the 21 and 55 EMA bearishly cross over and change the trend. A fall to $77,000 or lower could put a more substantial correction in play, down to the $67,000-$70,000 area. For now, though, the bullish case holds sway.
