Lark Davis: potential drop to $57,000 amid AI-driven security concerns

▼ Short · 23:10 · Watch the video

Lark Davis634K subscribers · 17 of 21 played out

Lark Davis reports that some of the top names in tech believe Bitcoin’s long-term value and security are at risk from artificial intelligence. The host, Lark Davis, cites Jason Calacanis and Chamath Palihapitiya as among those sounding the alarm.

In their view, AI will one day be capable of breaking the cryptography that underpins Bitcoin and could drive its price to zero. Calacanis sees capital moving to better prospects elsewhere and is not surprised by the ETF outflows; he has Bitcoin dropping to around $57,000 in the short run.

Then there is the matter of central banks which, in Palihapitiya’s assessment, will not put their full weight behind Bitcoin due to privacy and fungibility issues. And even if an AI attack does not occur until 2029, the fact that miners are turning to AI pursuits may erode network security in the meantime. For his part, Michael Saylor would have one believe the threat of AI is no match for the store of wealth that is Bitcoin.

As it stands, the asset is up from its July lows but still some 70 to 80 percent off the $126,000 mark it once reached.

Crypto World: short-term weakness with Bitcoin targeting $76,200 support

This call: BTC ▼ down — being checked by price until Nov 9

An analyst with Crypto World sees some short-term headwinds for Bitcoin in the immediate future, one being a possible decline to $76,200 over the next few days.

There is an ongoing display of weakness on the part of Bitcoin, the analyst observes, ever since it slipped below the $80,000 support. Put simply, the latest analysis points to liquidations in the $76,200 to $76,300 range in the near future and more downside to follow.

Such weakness is not expected to abate for several weeks; Ethereum, XRP, and Solana are feeling the strain as well. The analyst warns traders that any short-lived rally should not be taken as a sign of a lasting recovery. Of note is the resistance being tested by Bitcoin dominance in the 60.5-61% zone. Grid trading is suggested as an option for anyone inclined to go short in these conditions.

Crypto Jebb: key support at $77,000 in focus after sharp drop; $72,000 next if broken

The $6.3 billion hack at Binance has put the market to the test, with Bitcoin’s 6 percent slide to $77,000 and the 365-day moving average serving as a case in point, says Crypto Jebb.

Jebb observes that despite all the profit-taking that pushed Bitcoin into a correction from late September onward, it was the Binance incident that turned the selling into something more fear-driven. One should be mindful of this as a support level; in the past, the 365-day moving average has been where Bitcoin has staged its comebacks.

Should that key support give way, the next notable level is $72,000 in Jebb’s view. A fall to that level would not be unhealthy, he thinks, and could well open the door to a recovery toward $100,000. The analyst suggests that long-term investors should look to build up positions near these support levels.

Tyler S: volatility expected as BTC eyes $70,000 ahead of US midterms

This call: BTC ▼ down — being checked by price until Nov 3

Tyler S is of the opinion that the crypto market will see its volatility increase in the run-up to the US midterms. He concedes that a Bitcoin price decline can be attributed to an election, but it is not such a simple matter.

For his part, Tyler S says specialists are expecting more of the same from Bitcoin as the midterms get under way, based on what previous elections have done to crypto prices. One might look at last year and see a post-election fall in Bitcoin, yet with the FTX implosion in the mix, any direct correlation is difficult to discern.

At present, short positions are on the increase; should there be even a small rally in Bitcoin, a steep drop in price could follow. Analysts have BTC at $70,000 before a pullback to $58,000 in what may turn out to be an inverse head and shoulders pattern, according to Tyler S. A move below that $58,000 mark would, in the author’s view, be a prelude to a strong rally down the road. Then there are the power outages and cyberattacks in Washington to compound the uncertainty in the market.

DataDash: key support at $76,000, bearish if below $71,380, bullish above $88,000

Bitcoin’s fall to $76,000 is a case of being at a crossroads, says the DataDash channel, and what happens from here will set the trend. The host puts it in stark terms: should support at $71,380 be lost, the outlook turns sour; get above $88,000 and one would see a very bullish picture.

In its analysis, DataDash marks the $76k level as key support after a decline of over 10% for the month. But the analyst is sounding a note of caution, warning that any move below $71,380 is bearish confirmation and that full exposure to the market is not advisable at present.

Then there is the matter of resistance at $88,000. A breakout past that is a clear sign of bullish sentiment and opens the way to a $93,000 target. In the meantime, DataDash would rather put off new entries until Bitcoin corrects by 15% or altcoins by 20 to 30%. Technicals are to be heeded, but so too is the volatility that news can bring.

CryptoFateev Ripple XRP Трейдер: bitcoin expected to drop toward $75,000 despite political statements

This call: HBAR ▼ down — being checked by price until Dec 2

In the view of CryptoFateev Ripple XRP Trader, any bullishness Donald Trump may have shown towards crypto growth in recent pronouncements has not moved the market. The author would have traders put more stock in technical and fundamental indicators than in the former president’s words; with a history of predictions that have not come to pass, his assurances of a rosy future for the asset class are not considered dependable.

Consequently, the market has been indifferent to what Trump has had to say. What is expected is a Bitcoin pullback to $75,000, perhaps even as low as $65,000 for some, and that would be enough to see altcoins take another hit. Such a slide is in keeping with the way liquidity is drying up and Bitcoin dominance is on the rise; in the last 24 hours alone, most altcoins have given up 2 or 3 percent. There is no sign of an ‘altseason’ taking hold and projects such as Starknet and Quant are not faring well. As for the Binance hack and the $6 to $7 billion it has caused to flow out, the broader picture renders it of little consequence. Funds have been withdrawn by the majority of users and one does not expect the platform to be unduly troubled.

Crypto Tips: current conditions seen as a great BTC buying opportunity despite negative news

The host of Crypto Tips would have one believe that the latest crop of bad headlines, from ETF trends to the $6.3 billion Binance hack, are in fact an indication of good buying conditions for Bitcoin.

With the fear and greed index for Bitcoin down to 37, the analyst deems it a good time to put dollar-cost averaging to work and build up one’s BTC holdings. That is the view even as the US Secret Service investigates the Binance incident and the exchange has seen significant outflows.

In some respects, the host sees the current climate as very much to the advantage of the long-term buyer. The abundance of negative press, whether it be self-custody concerns or a high-profile hack, may well be a concerted effort to drive users to ETFs. But the expert is undeterred and encourages holding on to your Bitcoin in a self-custody wallet; just do not use leverage or credit.

Crypto Crew University: potential major BTC market shift expected after early November halving trigger

▲ Long · 19:11 · Watch the video

Crypto Crew University408K subscribers · few checked calls yet

The host of Crypto Crew University suggests that the Bitcoin halving scheduled for April 2024 may be enough to trigger significant market movement as early as November 2023.

Referring to historical data, the analyst notes that a two-phase bull trend has typically followed previous halvings, with the price returning to test previous resistance levels. The host observes similarities to the 2016 cycle, when the halving was followed by a strong rally; a similar scenario now seems to be developing.

According to this expert, there is profit potential in building a BTC position about 500 days before the halving—that is, right now—if the historical pattern holds true. However, he quickly adds a note of caution: any deviation from the pattern would put Bitcoin into an unprecedented cycle. If the anticipated shift does occur, the host would not be surprised to see early November 2023 become one of the major stories in crypto.

Incrypted: BTC shows weakness amid ETF outflows and Polymarket hack fallout

The host of Incrypted attributes the Polymarket hack as a source of pressure on BTC and ETH, with negative momentum and ETF outflows being the main themes in today’s market.

Arthur of Incrypted Plus sees a difficult climate for crypto. The $2.6 million heist at Polymarket has been enough to put both BTC and ETH under pressure and prompt $643 million in ETF outflows. There is caution in the air even with Strategy making an 811 BTC purchase last week; risk appetite is waning and capital is moving to more secure assets.

One can see BTC dominance declining and the altcoin season index rising, which has led to some mini-pumps in alternative assets. But the analyst notes that any lasting recovery in Bitcoin will need ETF inflows to support it; if the outflows continue, support levels may be breached. Then there are broader uncertainties from factors such as weakness in the AI sector and the upcoming US Congressional elections.

Blockchain Backer: bitcoin has moved past its market bottom and is now in recovery phase

The host of Blockchain Backer is of the opinion that Bitcoin has put its market bottom behind it, recent volatility and pullbacks notwithstanding. When this was recorded, the asset was in the vicinity of $77,800; the analyst notes that this is significantly higher than the bottom that had been set. He says there is no change to the market structure from events such as the $6 billion hack at Binance, according to the show’s perspective.

In much the same way one could make the case after the SVB bank collapse of March 2023, the host points to technicals in the form of on-chain data and trading volumes to argue that the bottom is in. He is quick to add, though, that expecting a bull market to arrive in short order would be putting the cart before the horse. With investor engagement running low and the market as a whole lacking participation, his view is that Bitcoin is likely to remain range-bound for a few more months.

As for a proper recovery, he sees that as something that will not get underway until there is a rotation into software, which may well be what ignites the next phase of growth. In the meantime, the analyst cautions against being overly optimistic given the dearth of confidence among investors and suggests keeping an eye on macroeconomic trends to be ready for whatever move Bitcoin makes next.

Crypto Savy: potential sell signal could push BTC down to $72,000 support

Trader Craig has issued a word of caution from Crypto Savy, noting that a significant sell signal is evident on the daily chart for Bitcoin and may well be a precursor to further downward pressure on price.

If such a signal is confirmed, with the 21-, 13-, and 8-day exponential moving averages crossing and the following candle opening and closing below the 8-day EMA, Craig sees the possibility of a move down to $72,000. He says there is downside risk as long as BTC does not rise above $80,000.

Craig concedes that if Bitcoin has found its bottom, one might look for a recovery to $66,000, but he compares the current rally to something like the 2008 bubble. A genuine sell signal can open up many opportunities for those looking to short, he adds. For a discussion on strategy, he invites people to join his free Discord.

CryptoJack: potential short squeeze could push BTC to $82,600 before sharp drop

CryptoJack’s host has Bitcoin at a make-or-break support level and sees the prospect of a short squeeze developing, which could push prices upward before any correction.

In the analyst’s view, the coin is in precarious territory around the $76,000 support zone, where shorts are in control. That alone is enough for a short squeeze to be in the making and send the price on a fast run to $82,600. But should BTC get there, CryptoJack is of the opinion that the squeeze will be as quick as it is strong and could reverse just as suddenly, with a steep drop back to $75,000 as a result. On top of that, he notes that the upward channel of Bitcoin dominance lends itself to more volatility down the road.

Ilya Mescheryakov: vertical rise to $80,000 likely before strong selling pressure

Ilya Mescheryakov has Bitcoin set for a straight line up to $80,000, notwithstanding the kind of market disruption that has come in the wake of the Binance hack.

The hacker incursion at Binance left $6.5 billion in its wake and wiped out some $3.5 to $4 billion; in the aftermath, as Mescheryakov sees it, Bitcoin made a sharp retreat from $80,800 down to $76,500. Yet he is of the opinion that conditions in the market are ripe for a quick return to the $80,000 mark, one that will be met by considerable selling pressure.

Mescheryakov adds that the Federal Reserve’s decision to hold rates steady while signaling that more hikes are possible has done nothing to dampen the appetite for crypto. Ethereum and Solana have taken their lumps in the downturn but, in his view, Bitcoin will hold its own for the time being. The next move should be a fast rally before the sellers make their presence felt.

Crypto Rover: bitcoin eyes support at $73,000–$75,000 amid key market week

Crypto Rover believes that the upcoming week will be crucial for financial markets, as Bitcoin’s direction will depend on how it performs at key support levels. The analyst is focusing on the US midterm elections and important technical zones for BTC.

In fact, Crypto Rover sees the potential for a market turning point this week with the midterms and possible geopolitical moves from Trump on the horizon. A 70% likelihood of a Democratic victory means the result could impact oil, stocks, and crypto alike.

When it comes to Bitcoin, the analyst is watching the $73,000 to $75,000 range as a support zone where he plans to add to his position. A liquidity zone is forming on the 12-hour chart for BTC; Rover would not be surprised to see it dip below that before rebounding. He has seen Bitcoin do this repeatedly when testing the channel’s downtrend. The current support level is especially significant given the volume on Binance. If the EMA breaks, there is room for further downside, but new opportunities to buy at key supports may also appear.

Benjamin Cowen: bitcoin likely to stay below fair value as market weakness persists

Benjamin Cowen argues that Bitcoin is undervalued by the numbers, and this remains true despite the market’s current slide. In his view, the asset has yet to trade at fair value; indeed, he sees the possibility of further losses as we head into the fourth quarter.

Although the models place BTC in the undervalued category, Cowen is quick to say there is no certainty of a recovery any time soon. He notes that last year’s inability of Bitcoin to rise above fair value was similar to the rather apathetic peaks of 2019.

Regarding the current weakness, the analyst attributes it to the NASDAQ, which could fall another 5 or 10 percent before the year is out—a factor he considers more significant than the recent hacks on exchanges. Undervaluation may well persist or even worsen under such circumstances. Cowen has also observed a recent tendency for Bitcoin to make its lows over the weekend and, after an early week reprieve, to decline again by the end of the week.

Thinking Crypto: BTC eyes $90,000–$98,000 after holding key support post-Binance hack

Tony Edward, who hosts the Thinking Crypto Podcast, would have one believe that Bitcoin has shown its mettle in the aftermath of the historic Binance hack by holding key support levels. The breach at Binance was unprecedented in the crypto world, yet as Edward points out, it did little more than put a $4,000 to $5,000 dent in the price of Bitcoin; he takes that as evidence of the market’s fundamental strength.

From a technical standpoint, RSI and MACD readings suggest a recovery is coming, in his view. And the analysts he has on the channel are of the opinion that once this correction is behind them, Bitcoin may well be in the $90,000 to $98,000 range before the year is out, helped along by a stock market that is also poised to recover and become more amenable to cryptocurrencies.

Edward has given some attention to the investigations underway at Binance, but is more interested in the positive signs for the sector found in the way large companies are making use of blockchain solutions.

Crypto World: BTC holds $76k support but faces bearish divergence on daily chart

The host of Crypto World notes that Bitcoin has been holding its $76,000 support recently, despite a bearish divergence on the daily chart. In the author’s view, short-term momentum may be lacking, but there are still bullish signals of a more enduring nature on the weekly chart.

In past videos, when the price was near $80k, this $76k support was predicted by the analyst. A look at the liquidation heatmap shows liquidity zones forming above $82k and in the $76.2k to $76.3k area, which suggests some activity at those levels in the near future.

Despite the limited bullishness that the bearish divergence suggests over the short term, the weekly picture is encouraging. If the US stock market recovers, $82k could present resistance, though the author cautions that any continued pressure on equities will be felt as weakness next week. Attention is also being paid to Bitcoin dominance; a move above 61% would be enough to swing the longer-term trend in BTC’s favor. Traders are well advised to take a measured approach and keep an eye on both the crypto and stock markets.
