Paul Sztorc is about to turn the crypto world on its head with an eCash Bitcoin fork of his own making. How the eCash Bitcoin Fork Will Distribute Free Coins
Much like the July 7, 2017 Bitcoin fork before it, eCash will see users receive free tokens. Holders of Bitcoin in a non-custodial wallet at the time of the fork will be able to claim eCash. On the DOUBLETOP Now channel it was noted that this is a means of rewarding the faithful and providing an incentive to hold one’s own private keys; the airdrop is only open to those with full control of their funds.
What Makes eCash Different: App Store, Marketplaces, and Payment Networks
eCash is not to be confused with earlier forks as being a mere clone of Bitcoin. According to the DOUBLETOP Now broadcast, while the transaction history of Bitcoin is preserved, a new layer is added to accommodate app stores and decentralized marketplaces and to build out payment networks in a more robust fashion, all to overcome what has prevented Bitcoin from going mainstream.
With the fork, there is already talk among early adopters and developers of eCash as a chance to put advanced blockchain applications to the test. It is Sztorc’s way of demonstrating that one need not wait for the wider Bitcoin community to reach a consensus, however protracted, to bring innovation to the table.
