Standard Chartered has put forward a forecast for XRP to reach $28 by 2030, as reported by Cheeky Crypto. To achieve this, the token would have to double in value annually, which it has not done in the last eight years.

The host at Cheeky Crypto draws attention to the bank’s rather bold numbers: a climb to $2.80 in 2023, $7 in 2027, and the aforementioned $28 mark in 2030. This would require about 108% year-on-year growth, a rate of progress not seen in recent times.

In fact, over the past eight years XRP has only doubled in value once, and that was followed by a 4x move. Any chance of the token living up to Standard Chartered’s expectations would mean going against its historical trend. While the analysis attributes this to wider market forces and a projected Bitcoin price of $500,000 by 2032, the host remains cautious about whether such gains are really possible, given how the token has performed recently.
