Cheeky Crypto: XRP recovery to previous highs may take up to three years
XRP may have a long way to go before it can reclaim its past all-time highs, says Cheeky Crypto. Historical data suggests that a full recovery is at least a three-year process, and the analyst notes that both the depth of the drawdown and the time it takes to recover can vary widely.
At present, XRP is about 65% below its record close; a 184% rally would be needed to return to that level. While XRP has a history of recovering to former peaks after a major drop, the time it takes to do so has been highly inconsistent, ranging from 132 days to over 1,300.
There is also the matter of supply: with the circulating amount now 64% higher than at the 2018 peak, future price movements will be affected, according to Cheeky Crypto. As for the numbers, the analyst notes that 81 percent of the time, XRP has traded at less than 60% of its high, and on eight out of ten occasions, it failed to recover from a drop within a year. The analyst advises a multi-year outlook for any investor or trader, as well as diversification across exchanges.
Crypto Mason: XRP could hit $15 driven by brand strength and easier access
XRP can reach $15 with or without the backing of a government or major bank, according to Crypto Mason. The host of the channel attributes this to the coin’s brand strength and the fact that it is more accessible, which will drive its growth.
In the opinion of Crypto Mason, XRP appeals to new investors by being one of the most well-known brands in all of crypto. He believes that when prices go up, holders who have been on the sidelines will be motivated to act because acquiring crypto is a much easier process than it was during the 2017 bull run.
While some analysts focus on the institutional or technical aspects, Crypto Mason is more interested in the psychology behind a rally. In his view, that alone could see XRP make a credible move into the $10 to $15 range, without support from banks or world governments. There is also the matter of reputation; he notes XRP does not carry the kind of baggage that Bitcoin might, so it is better received by the mainstream. Looking ahead, the host sees the asset as something of a bridge in a borderless digital landscape, perhaps even the currency of choice for digital nations in the future.
