Alexander Gnatenko Shares Top 10 Crypto Predictions: What to Hold or Sell

With his latest video, Alexander Gnatenko has set the crypto world abuzz with his predictions. The well-regarded analyst put forward new recommendations for the top 10 coins and made it clear that of the 50 major cryptocurrencies available, his analysis deems only 11 worth holding; the rest should be sold.

Why Gnatenko Recommends Selling Most Coins

Gnatenko, a name familiar to anyone in the crypto community, was at pains in the video to point out that most of the popular names do not meet his investment criteria. He is of the opinion that the market is awash with tokens that have neither the user base nor the fundamentals to back them up, hence his advice to offload all but 11 of the 50 coins in question. It is a measured way of steering traders clear of assets that are overvalued or otherwise underperforming.

Coin-by-Coin Analysis: QNT, ETC, BGB, KAS, and ALGO

He did not hold back with his views on some high-profile coins. Quant (QNT) may have its Clearing House partnership, but Gnatenko would have one sell given the exorbitant price. As for Ethereum Classic (ETC), he sees no future in the project and makes the same recommendation. Bitget Token (BGB) is another he would not want to hold, being too centralized by virtue of being an exchange product.

Then there is Kaspa (KAS). A coin built for mining, it has too small a following and an uncertain future in Gnatenko’s eyes, so he says to sell. Algorand (ALGO) is also to be sold, he says, for lack of any real prospects. All of this is informed by what he reads in terms of market trends and project fundamentals.

Which Tokens to Hold: Gnatenko’s Positive Picks

That said, the analyst has found potential in a handful of coins. Morph is, in his view, the sort of decentralized finance project one should hold. Arbitrum gets a place on his list of holds even if he will not pretend to be enamored with Layer 2s. Some meme coins such as Pepe are not to be bought now, though he concedes they can remain in a portfolio if one already has them. Vinnis Token has potential but is priced too high to be worth acquiring at present.

Tokens to Avoid: No Strong User Base or Prospects

Gnatenko is unambiguous about the tokens that should be disposed of. Sebe-token and Injective are two examples; for all their marketing, they do not command a user base large enough to warrant keeping. He extends the logic to other coins as well: absent active users and demonstrable value, the risk is too great. His is a conservative philosophy, one that puts a premium on solid fundamentals and utility, something he finds lacking in many projects.
