The risk was considerable; had the issue been ignored, the ecosystem\u2019s reputation could have been damaged by the uncontrolled minting of additional tokens by partners without proper permissions. The fix is intended to stop this and enforce stricter controls on issuance.<\/p>\n
Following the discovery, the validator community responded quickly. About 33 of the 35 validators support the update. There were some setbacks: CryptoWendyO reports that a brief lack of agreement among validators delayed deployment for nearly two weeks, but consensus has now been reached.<\/p>\n

An expert on CryptoWendyO took the opportunity to point out that neither XRPL nor Ethereum are above criticism. Diversifying a crypto portfolio is recommended, the expert said, rather than relying entirely on the supposed invulnerability of any single blockchain.<\/p>\n
