The most recent of these bullish signals were in October 2023 and July 2020. In the 17 months that followed the latter, the market cap saw a remarkable 1,000% increase; the former resulted in a 300% gain over 24 months. Such occurrences have been the hallmark of extended bullish cycles with plenty of upside to be had from any cryptocurrency, new or old.<\/p>\n
For now, though, the next bullish cross is still outstanding and the market remains in an accumulation phase, says Davis. That leaves room to grow, and he believes that once the crossover is confirmed there will be another round of sizeable gains. He emphasizes the fact that 75-80% separates many top cryptocurrencies, including \u2018hot coins\u2019, from their all-time highs. To his mind, this is a sign of considerable potential for the market to move higher as the cycle runs its course.<\/p>\n
Take the Near blockchain for instance. A well-known name, NEAR is currently about 75% below its historical peak. Davis sees that kind of discount, common to other leading coins, as making a strong case for appreciation should the projected surge in market cap come to pass. And as a new MACD bull cross looks likely, his analysis suggests that the explosive cycles of the past could happen again.<\/p>\n
