Cheeky Crypto has uncovered a coordinated spam operation that uses deceptive comments to promote fake tokens to XRP viewers. The campaign employs sophisticated methods to bypass moderation and spread fraudulent investment advice.

The host of Cheeky Crypto says the scheme became clear when he saw three different accounts promoting the SPX57T token within 14 seconds under an XRP video. Such synchronicity points to an organized attempt to deceive the channel’s audience rather than anything random. In their comments, the spammers mention non-existent assets like SPX57T, SPX69C, and SPX83X, none of which can be found on any legitimate cryptocurrency exchange.

They do more than just mention these tokens; the comments are filled with fabricated stories of major partnerships or investments from big companies for which there is no evidence. This is a way to create a sense of urgency and credibility to prompt viewers to act before checking the facts.

YouTube’s filters are not much of an obstacle for the spam accounts. As Cheeky Crypto has noted, they will alter a token’s name by inserting special characters or spaces to evade automated pattern recognition. Some comments are crafted to appear genuine, with fake thanks for analysis the host never gave, all to disguise their true intent.

There is also a lot of bogus advice and talk of passive income, often accompanied by links to unverified sites. Such sites could put users at risk of having their wallet seed phrases or private keys stolen.

For this reason, the host has made efforts to warn the community. He wants it known that any comment directing you to an unknown website or urging you to buy a particular token should be considered a scam, and even the most experienced crypto enthusiasts are not immune to the ingenuity of these frauds.

To stay safe, Cheeky Crypto recommends avoiding any suspicious links or suggestions in YouTube comments. If there is any need to verify a comment or offer, he directs viewers to the channel’s official Discord, where the community can help clarify things.
